Congratulations!
Splendid image, you deserve it  8)
As far as my experience, Alamy is the only agency where I have 3 digits sales  ;).

Thank you as usual for kind words Luisa!  Same here, I had once 3 digit license on Shutterstock, but Alamy is the only place where this happens with some level of regularity.  Even had 4-digit sale once.  They also treat you fair, none of this what's been going on with Adobe lately.

Congrats on the good sale as well as the photo, I do love the color of glacial lakes.

I certainly have plenty of mountain photos taken from places that are not that easily accessible. I have even sold a few on Alamy for decent amounts which I appreciate greatly.

I have some issues with how Alamy does things and some of the changes they have made in the last few years, but many months they are my top earner - not this one though unless some big sales come through. Returns do seem to be going down there, but not as fast as they have at some of the other sites.

Thanks Tom.  I lived in your neck of the woods and did some hiking, but probably nowhere as much as you.   My 4 digit Alamy sale is actually trailhead photo of Iron Mtn in Poway, San Diego county.    Wish I explored Sierra much more.  Biggest regret is I didn't do Whitney.  Human congestion is much harder to deal with compared to Canada though.

Yes, I can see 66 of my images in FREE collection but no money yet :)

How much should I expect this time around?

Well I guess it would depend how many of those you made perpetual and if they choose the same amount of perpetual as yearly.

Have you received funds for free images this year? I've 66 images in free collection but no funds yet?
When we should expect some $$$?

I might have 2 out of the few I nominated selected.

In other news of eroding earnings - I checked to see if I had any sales of $1 or more - I had to scroll back over 100 sales before I found a few 1.01 sales and there were just a few of those in the last about 300 sales I looked at. I randomly picked a date in 2020 and I had 2 sales for $3.80 that day. It was a bit of a lucky hit, but scrolling over 100 sales back then I probably had at least 10 that were over $1 and many .99 ones. Still, that beats the lone sale I get .61 for at Alamy this month, although big sales still happen there, at least $$ if not $$$. I Never had a 4 digit one there though.

My sales in the range 0.90-0.99 are almost daily...

So, I got paid. 133$

2 things that doesn't make sense:

- it shows 36 free assets (+1 video, which I'm guessing 1 year hasn't expired yet), that would be 144$
- You can't divide 133 with 4, because you get 33,25.

Yeah there's something that's off on my account as well. Doesn't add up to what shows under free but also when i refreshed i saw the number of images on free went down. Not sure if its still updating

1. I didn't nominate any files for 10$
2. Even if there would beimages counted for 10, you cant get to 133

There is still a correction to reduce the images, and the tax has been deducted. We are also scratching our heads why there is so little money))

They are adding more payments!

Subtracting sales for the day from total earnings for the day leaves me with 3.96 for the one photo they selected.

edited: They did report it as a $4 sale so I poked around and compared daily sales to daily totals and among other things Adobe mixes time zones but more importantly uses fractions of a cent but only reports to the nearest cent - at least that is what it seems like. Some totals were low by a few cents, others were high.

The only way I can give away my images is through my website, to do marketing FOR ME, not for agencies.

So, this year too: opt-out! Not a single image of mine in the Adobe Stock Free collection, if you want them, you pay!  8)

the point is NO ONE WANTS these images! i gladly take $4 of passive income for older images that havent sold.

and nothing prevents you from private sales - likely a very different audience

Most buyers dont shop around, or check if the same image is free on Adobe.
