I never sold much at Fotola and recently, after the latest 'partner' revelations, decided to get a payout and close the account.  So a few days ago I requested the "credit conversion" and now my My Credits page shows a "Credit Transformation" with Paypal, with a status of an orange ball (whatever that means).    Under the column labelled 'Invoice' it says 'Receipt' and if I click on that link I'm shown a "Credit Conversion Receipt" which contains no useful information whatsoever.  (And how typical of Fotolia to use the terms "receipt" and "invoice" to refer to the same thing, without ever really saying what that thing is.)

I have of course received no payment yet.  I just want to get my little chunk of money, and then close the account and never have anything to do with Fotolia again.

Could someone who's been through this just tell me whether a PayPal transfer is actually going to happen on its own at some point, or is there something more I need to do?

the little round dot would stay orange (pending) until Fotolia has processed the payment request at their end and money sent to your paypal account. In the past, it has taken anywhere from a few days to a few weeks (lately) for me to get my payment. Thelast payment took a good three weeks and only after 3 email chases. Until that happens, it would show "Receipt" (yes, strange that they generate a receipt before money has been sent). May be that is their way of saying request received.

I would say give it til end next week and if payment is not received by then, definitely email them and ask them to expedite.

Last week I requested payout at FT, via PayPal, and it was paid within a few minutes.

Lately it's been taking about 2 weeks to get paid - you don't need to do anything else.

just to add to the echo here.

Yep, somewhere between 1 day - 3 weeks.  You don't have to nag them - just be patient and try to forget about it and it will come.

I will continue to wait patiently, and to be reassured by my "Credit Transfer Receipt Invoice" which - while it says nothing about PayPal, or when the actual transfer might occur  - does contain Fotolia's street address.   :)

In springtime a delay seems to be normal (maybe taxes to pay). Elsewhere it is fast (some days up to 1 week).

I posted a question to support last week and, today, somewhat to my surprise I received a polite, coherent reply - in grammatically correct English - which actually answered my question.

They acknowledged that they were behind on payouts and said they were currently taking 2-3 weeks.

I'm beginning to think about volunteering to help them catch up on the payouts.  These long waits are getting ridiculous.

Dunno why but I've never had to wait more than a week for payout (except perhaps the first one). Paypal usually sends their mail within 5-7 days of the request to FT.

payments are taking longer lately for me at FT, both with paypal and (expecially) with moneybookers

I know it's unpleasant, but in the end everyone has been paid - so don't dispair
