Title: Does AdobeStock take 8k videos?
Post by: JustAnImage on July 26, 2020, 08:57
Does anyone know if AdobeStock takes 8k Videos?

- I uploaded 10 Videos some days ago (9 of them 4k, 1 was 8k)
- the 9 video in 4k were at the "new" section to submit
- the 8k video is missing (I already tried uploading it again 3 times and it doesn't appear)
(The 8k video is a standard 8k h.264 with about 700mb size)

Sorry if this question has been asked before - if so, i didn't find it :)

Thanks

No, we don't take anything larger than 4K. You can see the video specifications for Adobe Stock uploads here: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/video-requirements.html

Well, if you have 8k you can do high quality 4k cropped area videos or do high quality zooms in 4k - just to mention two things I often do ;-)

doesnt answer the question though, 8k screens are not common yet and no broadcaster is airing 8k

Well, I gave two reasons for doing 8k videos already.

Want some more?
- be prepared with your video portfolio for the future, the demand will come, when 8k gets more common
- 2x2 fair presentation screens (after corona of course)

If that doesn't answer your question you should maybe try to ask your question "is there any demand for 8k videos"  in a customers forum ;-)

And sorry for my bad english, not my native tongue

keep doing what your doing, i dont care, but if the agencies do not accept 8K then all it gets you is taking up space on your hdd. great business model though, spending time on something you cannot sell,

Let's check this thread again:
I was just asking a question here, which has been nicely answered by Mat. I said thanks to Mat and all were fine.
You came in here asking if there is a demand and doubting it.
I was showing at least two reason for doing 8k already.
You answered "Don't answers the question though, ..."
I tried to stay polite showing two more reasons for doing 8k
You answered telling me I am wasting my hdd space and using a crappy business model

Enough of this "being polite" crap:
What in the world makes you think I am interested in your opinion about my diskspace and my business model.
(By the way other agencies are taking 8k)
If you have a question, sure, ask it - if you have information about some facts, sure let everyone know, but if you just want to waste other peoples time with your unasked opinion - keep if for yourself!

Thanks.

So, if you don't care, why don't you just keep your mouth closed?
