Title: Error 502 help!
Post by: CaptureLightUK on May 17, 2015, 03:29
I am having a strange experience with FT :-\

I signed up a week or so ago, uploaded ten images and waited.  After few days I received this random email:

Thank you for singing up with Fotolia. Unfortunately we cannot accept your registration for a Fotolia EU account as Fotolia has a zone for contributors which cover the address and country given in your profile. Please sign up for a new account on https://en.fotolia.com/ and be sure to choose a new login name. Thank you for your understanding.

I sent them an email to point out that the link took me straight back to to my existing account.

The next day I got a message to say that I had a new message in my inbox.  Of course, by now, my account was closed and so I couldn't access it to read what it said :o

Since then whenever I visit any FT site (.com, .co.uk, .de, etc.) I just get an Error 502 page.  However this only happens when I use the Chrome browser.  I have cleared the cache several times with no effect.

I tried Safari and managed to create a new account (I had to change my user name) and re-uploaded my images.  I'm now waiting for the account to be validated.

Safari works fine, Chrome still gives an Error :o.  Has anybody else experienced anything similar and found a way around it?

Cheers
Ralph

It's simple, really. They will want you to sign up in the currency for which they pay the lowest commission.
