Title: Fotolia commission increase
Post by: jatrax on May 22, 2014, 10:02
Is anyone actually getting the announced commission increase at Fotolia?  I got the email and got increased commissions (.38 on a subscription M and .44 on a subscription XL) on one day.  Then all subscriptions went back to .27 regardless of size.

I emailed Fotolia support on the 16th but have not had any response from them.  Just curious if the commission increase has actually occurred or if there is a date they said it would start.

You only recieve higher commission IF a buyer bought the smallest Credit-Package. Or something like this. FT isnt stupid, they are tricky :)

I had one for 60 cents instead of 27 eurocents yesterday, so they do exist. But they seem to be rare. Which is a good thing, most customers are apparently not buying their mini subscriptions.

I had some, though not many compared to the overall amount of sub sales, the highest were some for 1,25 Euro instead of 0,35 Euro.

I'm inclined to think that agencies that try to be tricky are stupid, since it destroys trust - and the microstock industry is built on trust.

just a question to all - why does answering a poster's question in a normal informative way lead to negative votes? I see nothing wrong with Rob's post.

I didn't give a down vote myself, but the down votes are probably because he is opted in to DPC.

But DPC is not part of the question here so why would that be relevant? Question to all... .

I'm guessing you haven't read any threads concerning Fotolia for the past several weeks.

You might want to check out these two:

Because some people seem to use the hearts and down votes not to express their agreement / disagreement with a specific post, but with a specific poster.

Ok so the new higher and better subscription commission is just on some subscriptions not all subscriptions?  I read the email and I guess I've a little slow because that is not what I thought it read as.

So far the new higher and better subscription commission has gained me a grand total of .28 usd.  It seems all of the subscription sales (except 2) have been at the old subscription commission.

I am surprised that with all of the furor caused by DPC no one has mentioned this.  Well there marketing people should get a gold star they took me in.......

I have - if you check these threads you might see that i even posted in said threads. Again - the original poster's question was about FT sub commission changes and not about DPC, so I do not know why Rob's answer would be voted down. But dirkr is probably hitting the nail on the head and that's a crying shame.
