Title: fotolia contributor survey
Post by: qwerty on June 28, 2010, 06:01
just got an email to do a survey at Fotolia.

Here's your big chance to let them have it.
My comments were stop changing goal posts and reducing % royalties.

The survey seemed to be all directed at buyers.  Not much to add from a contributors standpoint.  I filled it out anyway, but not sure how helpful my feedback will be to them... ?

That's weird? Mine was all contributor questions. I thought it was an interesting survey. It will be interesting to see if anything comes from it. I'm sure many of us have the same complaints. Mine were royalty drops and the tiered vector system (very bad). I did give them credit for vector subs, although they should be expanded better into large size jpegs. Also, I'd like to see price tweaking added for all users.

Is your profile set to buyer? I recall that you could set your account to either buyer or seller. Maybe?

Goto your profile and click on Edit Profile - there you can change it.

Just completed it!  Really curious to see the final results and if Fotolia acts on the suggestions.

Thanks!  I was set to buyer for some reason.  Definitely didn't do that myself, as I almost never buy.  I don't know if they will send me another link though...

Mine looks the same only with my user ID after the equals sign. I don't know if it will work if you replace your user ID or if the email link you got was different.

Thanks for the help guys both on the forum and via sitemail :D

Hopefully the links will be helpful to any other contributor who didn't get a link too, or (as in my case) got the wrong link to the buyer survey...

FWIW it really is important to put your own ID # in there.  I didn't do that on a link I was sent and may have messed up somebody else's survey.

You are all my witnesses, though.  If I win the Ipad it's going to the guy whose survey I accidentally took.   :-[

I filled it up too. thanks for the link.

I mentioned that they would probably get more photos if only they had better watermarks on them.

Dumped Them. Then they gave me that 505 error Bs. Thats the one where they lock you out if you dump them.

I have been getting a lot of 505s too lately and I am an active contributor.  I think the 505's are unrelated to your contributor status.

Just curious, how did you get the link?  Is this site "http://sgiz.mobi" safe?

It should be safe, unless someone hacked the "[email protected]" where it was sent from...

It appears to be a company that handles surveys for other companies. It's a common practice to outsource such things in order to get it done right the first time...

Ok then. I haven't received this email, even if recently I began to receive the sales notices again. I am always suspicious of links outside the site.

It's always recommended to be on the lookout for phishing scams.

In case of doubt simply email the agency first to confirm the sender, they are the ones who should know for sure.
