Title: fotolia footage - how?
Post by: ultimagina on June 13, 2014, 12:08
I will highly appreciate if someone could help me understanding how to upload footage on Fotolia.

I tried, twice, using their regular FTP service. I could see the complete files ready on the FTP destination folder, but nothing appeared on my contributor account to finalize, with keywords, etc.

Thanks!

Probably it needs some time before that they appear.

One solution is this:

2 days ago I uploaded a video file by using their regular Ftp server, the video showed as unfinished in about 15 minutes.

Thanks, but I uploaded 3 clips about a week ago, and I cannot see them among my "to do" files. I'll ask Fotolia.

I think FOTOLIA is one of the cheapest paying video sites out there, let alone their other imagery. I refrained from uploading my video work there for that reason and other reasons related to their poor ethics.

Do yourself a big favour and DO NOT waste your time uploading footage to Fotolia. I sold 8 clips with them for an average of $2.8 a clip. With SS I am averaging almost $20 and that's from a large number of sales. All you will achieve by submitting footage to Fotolia is to drag the market price down and shoot yourself in the foot at the same time. The prices they pay do not even pay for your coffee or water on a shoot.
