I have huge "image views" drop in last months. Anybody else has such experience?
-
Yes. My images from the past year or so hardly have any views. Sales correspond to that. Really down.
-
Very disappointing :(
I hope they will change something very soon.
-
Sales really down, Very disappointing :(
-
odd.... my sales on FT are better than DT. FT now is my 2nd earner.
-
No, not here, my sales are steady and rising! FT, has always been good to me and I dont understand why many report downtrends?
-
A very sad decline in both views and earnings. My earnings are down 30-40% on same time last year. Decline began in March, 2011, and has been getting sharper month by month. Many images uploaded over the last few months have zero views. They can't sell if no-one sees them! :(
-
Views have been down for ages and threads on the Fotolia forum have attributed it to the larger image previews (apparently!). People no longer have to actually click an image to 'view' it.
However I am surprised to say sales have been up for me. Although it still massively under-performs compared to similar sized agencies.

I have created a topic while ago here and also on FT forum regarding this matter, I believe its because of the large thumbnail they have implemented a few months ago, I am having less views too but sales/earnings are better than ever
views (downloads)
July 2011 7101 (89)
August 2011 8286 (60)
September 2011 4113 (100)
October 2011 5453 (108)
November 2011 949 (129)
December 2011 934 (103)
January 2012 1060 (120)
February 2012 635 (77)

Thanks luissantos84 and THP for reply. At least we know why views are down. But for me sales are going down too.
-
No worries dbajurin.
Sorry to hear sales are going the way of views though. FT has been so poor for me last couple of years, but only now does it seem to be picking up. Can't explain why.

Before the change to big thumbnails, I was averaging about 14-18 views per download. Since the change, it's been averaging about 5 views per download, which indicates to me that when buyers actually see my images they sell. Problem is that only a small number of the images I've uploaded in the last few months has had more than 1 or 2 views. Result is a decline in earnings of about 35-40% compared to same time previous year. I'm happy for those contributors who are experiencing increasing earnings. I'm sorry I'm not one of you. :'(

sure but much easier to see increase while you are small, you are actually on the top10 no?
-
^^No, not the top 10. :) Was in the top 50, till sales declined. Now overall rank is dropping, as 7 day rank has blown out. I don't think I'm the only Emerald to experience this.
