My sales jumped about 50% this month suddenly.  Anybody seeing similar sales increase this month?

My ranking stayed about the same, but little better.

Not especially......unless you have a large portfolio or income I wouldn't read too much into one months figures.

Not really a jump for me, but a continuation of the upward graph of the last few months. Another BME.

Yes, Fotolia is indeed up by a big amount this month. AdobeStock/FT is on its way to the top spot.

I had a good month at Shutterstock but Fotolia did much better. It's been great since Adobe took over and I like their reviewers much better also :)

Yes, up about 50%.  We will see if it continues.

I am experiencing a bump in sales at FT. Sales had been going down gradually since I no longer submit new images. However October sales are up about 25% over September.

I think it's clear that Adobestock is accelerating these days.  Most creators use Adobe softwares.  So, it's understandable.  It will get much better from here for Adobestock/Fotolia in my opinion.

while we're talking of new ventures,
is anyone getting any money with the new flickr?

as they projected a target market of " licensing niches like mobile photography, since the number one camera on the site is an Apple iPhone."

are we seeing a rush of mob photographers like yuri predicted  ;D

No noticeable change for me on FT. Actually 15% down this month compared to September.
People reporting a "jump" - are we talking regular sales or is it due to ELs?

My revenues were up 50% over September. I had quite a few credit sales. I hope it continues :)

For me FT has been up significantly every month since May.  Before that it was flat for like two years.  Now it's 4x what it was before May (but I only have a small portfolio there and it's always been one of my bottom sites--looks like that may change).

Yep! BME on FT!
Nice 37% revenue growth, nice RPD!
A clear #2, shaming IS both on revenue and on RPD (see attached).

I  don't never EVER get ELs on FT. I've had some above average days on FT this month, but most days are still pretty average.  And I seriously doubt that I will have ever again a BME there.  Would love to be wrong about that tho.  C'mon Adobe, Papa needs a new car...!

Still only 1/3 of SS but looking good.

50% drop since Adobe!

Not that much, but about 25 - 30% down. October, however, best month since Adobe took over, but mostly from some ELs :(
On the other hand, October has always been the best month of the year.

A little jump on FT, but with these small numbers (100-150 sales/month), I don't know whether it means anything or not...

It was a BME for DLs but not for $$$ due to no ELs and very few credit sales in general.  The subs at higher values make a big difference though.  Not sure if it is a blip or will continue.  However, to put it in perspective, so far this year I have made more at Canva than FT with only half as many images online.  FT this year is sixth overall for me, so they still have a long way to go, but this month was a step in the right direction.

Just to show how bad it is for me, with 2,725 images, I sold 5 last week.  My best was 87 in a week in 2009.  Will try some new uploads but that's not helped in the last few years.

I doubt anyone with a port over 2000 images will see a 50% increase my guess people seeign a 50% increase probably have a small port or small earnings to begin with. going from 25 to 50 dollar is easier than from 250 to 500

FT started this new week on a gallop for me. I hope it will continue so, at least for a little while.
I have a small port (1000+), earnings are sometimes up, other times not so much, but still somewhat better than at SS (lately).

I have a little less than 2,000 images and usually sell around 100/week.  :)

With a tiny port (~60 files uploaded since joining in June) even a 100% increase wouldn't be statistically significant, but I have seen steady sales and significant growth since September and am encouraged to put the rest of my microstock portfolio on there. Unfortunately, a subset of my best sellers elsewhere - light blurs and the like - have been rejected because Fotolia has too many similar images in their portfolio so I won't be able to add everything there, but so far growth is encouraging.
I find it hard to believe I could sell more in one week than someone with over 2700 images, but I guess I did.

Na. 4000 images and the % increase month on month for the last three months has been 65%, 14% & 23% with income  in excess of 1k p/month. The avg increase is normally about 19-22% a month with at least one big one a year, i.e. that 65%er that was several hundred $ increase. FT was 1/3 of SS income but SS has slowed right down but FT has gathered pace. FT was close to 50% more than SS last month for me.

My sales have been surging recently with a small portfolio. Today is probably the biggest sales day so far with 17 sales and counting.

I've been neglecting Fotolia and Istock recently, but they're giving me really good reasons to quickly get my entire portfolio up.

For me fotolia has always come in cycles: 20 downloads in 2 days and then nothing for a couple of days, or weeks.
Which of course makes me think about their search engine.

And I hate it when the agencies search engines are being manipulated. Which they are.

All of them.

its not decent-Like if you are a farmer and sell corn cubs in your local store, you can walk in and see where they are placed in the shop.
For us photographers there is no such walk into the shop, to see how our goods are being placed, because all the agencies keep it ever  so secret.

I dont like that.

Since late September I'm also experiencing these weird waves of many sales/no sales, every time I get inspired and optimistic when sales start to pop in but then the drought comes back. I also feel the same search engine issues with SS since October, very uneven.

What I like about FT is their steady credit sales (always about 20-25% of all downloads for me), as well as some of their subs at a nice price.

Overall they keep improving indeed!

Yeah, I like that too, that you can get sub sale at high price. I had one for 5$ recently. And two 1,32 and one 0.99 today.

Yes, Fotolia/Adobe jumped this months and rpd is good.

Last 6 months (portfolio 2k).

SS from 65% of my total earnings to 58%
FT  from 10% of my total earnings to 15%

Rpd SS 0,74
Rpd FT 1,05

Cant really agree by its very nature a search engine is a manipulation it has to prioritise somehow so its a question of what is perceived as fair  and the big supermarkets TOTALLY manipulate their displays to the point of charging for prime end of line slots OK suppliers can see it but their is nothing they can do about it. (Handy hint look at the top and bottom of shelves for better value brands ;-) )
