Title: Fotolia upload
Post by: donding on May 30, 2009, 11:16
Do any of you have problems with Fotolia always timing out while your uploading by FTP?
I always have to reconnect and if I'm not watching closely I'll thing they all uploaded when they didn't because of a time out and disconnect.

If you are uploading just photo images then I advise you to use their flash upload - it is fast and very reliable.

When I use their FTP it makes duplicate uploads... So, I am either on HTML upload there or I use their flash upload.

Same here, but it turns to be some problem where uploaded file is moved from upload directory before filezilla checks if it was uploaded correctly... I am not expert in IT but it seems like some problem of that kind...

Ooops......Thanks leaf for moving this...you can tell I wasn't thinking and was in the Featurepics section before I posted. I promise I'm not naive.

I use Filezilla to upload.....what it does is it times out after a few minutes even though it shows them still uploading...all the rest of them stay connected and if I don't catch it I think it's done untill I go to Fotolia and see they didn't all make it so I have to go through it again. I'm going to try the flash uploader next time to see if that works better.

I've been having problems with a couple of the ftps as well... I think Fotolia was one of them. I will pay more attention next time I upload.
