Maybe you can help me with this. After lunching V2 version of Fotolia I've the problem with their ICPT script. I've informed the stuff twice about the problem: they instructed me to use different FTP client (they recommended FileZilla which I'm using all the time).

The problem is that after FTP uploading script reads data from "description" and place it in the "title".

I upload photos to about 10 other agencies and have no problem with this except Fotolia. I use standard software for ICPT edition: Adobe Bridge.
It is so frustrating when I have to cut each description to make it shorther (64 characters) and generally making it ridicolus. The truth is I have no time to look for each uploaded photo on my computer, check what is the correct "title" and paste it to form.

Have you the same problem? If not: what software do you use?
Thanks!

Some programmer got one word wrong when writing the program and we are left with this.  A simple change of that word and the one or two places it shows up in the code, then a recompile of it and reimplementation is honestly 15 minutes worth of work and it wouldn't mess with their databases at all.  I cannot see why they are not fixing this, it is so simple.  I upload each file to all sites using the web form one by one as I complete the processing of each image, I have to remember to fix each title for FT.  Why such long descriptions? I keep running into the minimum size, they are always short and to the point and describe the photo.

I understand that you have the same problem as I. :( I think that the code even don't need to be recompiled. It is real time interpreted server side. One way or another the bug is  probably easy to fix.

I think it's normal - just simple description what is on the photo. For example: "Group of teenagers standing withs hand up and shouting.  Whole bodies visable. Wide angle view. Isolated on white in studio." (124 characters).

I don't use FTP in FT, but flash web form.  This problem happened in the past, they go it fixed.  Now yesterday I uploaded an image an it happened again.

And the EL prices change to minimum?

Frankly, they seems to still be working with the same IT people that created chaos in the V2 migration...

Adelaide

I use flash also. It never happened to me until a few weeks sago. Now it happens with every upload. I posted on the forum and got the don't post problems on the forum response, but email support. I knew from earlier in V2 that support was aware of it. an didn't fix it then. Obviously, they're not going to fix it now. It was useful to know that the forums haven't improved in the last 6 months or so.

Write Support. Or yell out your front door. No difference.

I've been having that issue for a couple of months now.  I emailed support over it at least a couple of times, and nothing.  I posted on the forum and nothing.  That's ok. I'm to the point where I'm over it lol.

Yeah, you post on the forum, they tell you to mail support. Mail support and you get ignored.

Maybe they're working on V3.

I recently emailed BigStock support on a minor issue. Didn't get an answer right away, so I posted on the forum. Within hours, an admin replied that they didn't see my original email and began trying to help me resolve the problem.

That's support.

All I know is that I am officially 'over' Fotolia.  I'm slowing deleting my entire portfolio, and will be sending them an email or calling them to close my account.  The FTP issue has been going on for over a couple of months with me, on top of mass rejections.  I can handle rejection, don't get me wrong.  It's just that mass rejections have started and have stayed consistent with me, and it's just not worth the time, (and headache) to upload, edit my IPTC data, just to have them rejected in one swoop.  It feels like at times, they don't even look at my work.  And yes, I'm going to throw the common, but goodie line lol...my stuff does great at other sites.

It irks me because I really like Fotolia.  If they have changed their policies with illustrations and fractal art, if they aren't accepting them, they need to simply come out and say.
