"Contributor ranking
On Fotolia, a contributor’s rank is determined by the total number of files sold (except files sold with subscription). The higher the rank the more files that contributor has sold. There are 8 levels that represent the contributors rank and the number of photos sold. The table below outlines each level and its corresponding symbol. "
bummer. at least I was hoping with subs I'll reach emerald faster. Guess thats not going to happen that "easy". neat.

Shafted, then shafted again.
-
What a total crock!
Even DT realized that part of sweetening the pot in introducing subs was the ability to move files up to new levels faster (of course subs sales there have been pretty anemic, so that didn't happen, but that's a separate story"
Is FT trying to make this deal as bad as possible to cull the contributor pool? They go from bad to worse.
-
nice job FT,well done!just unbelievable!
-
wow, that is crazy. Like jsnover said, that is my one consolation with the dreamstime subs, that the image will move into the higher earning bracket.
Why wouldn't a sub sale be counted as a sale??
-
This is an incredible insult. How much more are they going to throw at us this week? How can they stress they are moving toward a subs model and yet say those downloads won't count toward your ranking? Then how will we ever move up?
I cannot wait to drop these guys. I don't need their lousy 6% contribution to my earnings, so they might just as well go at this point.

This is really baffling. If Fotolia had deliberately set off to pi$$ off the maximum number of contributors in the shortest period of time they could not have done a better job.
-
Messing up with search + stupid rejections (Type of photo) + low prices on subs + subs don't coun't for the ranking + troublesome uploading = pissed contributors, including me.
-
a sale is a sale but obviously not for FUtolia!
FU FUtolia!

(withdrawn because it seems pointless)
