Wait, wait! There are more surprises in edited text that members find by themselves every day:

Well I guess we can be happy if we don't own them any money at the and of the month after getting those sales.

So whats next that they could to for people at least for a while stop uploading there ?

I think its time for boycott after those moves , and there are already people on their forums who claim they will.

I suggest that we act together for the first time and write them a mail with a list of people who will not contribute with their new work under those conditions any more and let my name be first on that list.

If anyone is for that just drop a name on the list and if Im a lone rider in this try , well i guess I just wont upload new stuff there as an individual.

I'm with you Lizard but why not try to do this action on the Fotolia-Forum?

if you do it on the fotolia board, make sure you post a link to the thread so that people here can find it.

edit for clarity.

i am not sure i understand what you said?

All I meant though was that if Lizard was to take it to the fotolia board that it would be nice if he posted a link here so that the members who don't follow the fotolia board so closely and want to take part will find it.

It is impossible to make such deal, there are thousands of submiters, and only few are visiting the forums.... it just wouldn work.

Well Im not sure that starting  , at least starting an empty list there would be a smart move cause as I saw tonight they do delete and edit posts they don't like.

I think it would be a good idea to start a new topic here , ask Leaf to make it sticky for few days if possible , and when and if if we get some names on that list then open a topic there so others can join.

Anyway I think we should add our user  name and our number of accepted  images on Fotolia , so...

I was thinking a description of the list , somthing like that , but English is not ma native language and Im not too good as writer so if anyone wants to change the description bellow feel free to do it.....

So here it goes:

If you find that Fotolia recent changes represent a step backward regarding contributors position in the microstock industry,  and you are willing to stop uploading new images to Fotolia until acceptable changes are made , please sign the list bellow , with your Fotolia user name and number of your images that Fotolia represents.

My sales have slumped since they changed the search and I am not happy with the low subs so I will join the list.

I already said on their message board that is it no longer worth the effort for me to upload there the way things are now. Good time to work on my Alamy portfolio now that summer is here.

I've already stopped uploading (and deleted the batch approved earlier this week while this mess unfolded). Some members who aren't here have said the same in the Fotolia forums - Bobby Deal, Joe Gough to name 2 I remember)

wow you guys are kicking ass... Im not quite sure though whats going on- am I right in saying that if you refer someone to the site, you wont be making money from what they make in subscriptions? It's a small thing, isnt it? Or am I missing the point?
Its good to see you kick ass though, I must say... (Im istock exclusive so I cant join in)

The affiliation revenue was just the latest thing we discovered; the main points are subscriptions with low-ball commissions (25 to 32 cents per download), no opt-out, subs downloads don't count for rank (which ups commissions)

uuuh huh. I see. Well, I think it's great- you guys should stick with it.

I'm a small time contributor.  Only 259 uploads at Fotolia as of this morning, with 2 that have been in queue for several days.

There will be no more new uploads from me.  In fact I've already skipped them twice in the last few days and sent my uploads everywhere else.  I'm tempted to pull my portfolio entirely, but I'm trying to keep a clear head about all of this.

This latest news about no referral earnings is just another amazing slap in the face.  Fotolia has truly turned out to be the scourge of microstock agencies.  This does not affect me currently as I have not referred anyone to Fotolia.  But I support my fellow members who are being cheated.

Send the message.  I have not uploaded to them any of last 2 batches, and I will not upload to them until these ridiculous insults are taken away.

I am currently working on my travel images, which don't go in the micros anyway, but I would refrain from uploading to FT for a while to see what happens there.

Regards,
Adelaide
