Title: FT Traffic
Post by: beisea on August 11, 2006, 11:23
The last 4 days I have no sales from FT, the newly added 60 files after 3 days have no viewerships, while in the meantime the same files I got 3-5 downloads everyday from DT, anyone experience a slowdown in FT or it's just me? thanks.

No sales this week which is unusual, I would normally have at least one.  My only batch in the last 2 months just got accepted today so they will be new in time fo the weekend - oh well.

My views this week have been average. I've had 8 downloads so far, which is about half the normal, but within your normal ebb and flow

Fairly steady with an extended licence though I did just break the 1000 image mark (if only i had 1000 DLs)

rather strange there they built up quite a queue over 7 days long and now everything up to the 8th of August has been reviewed.

Well they're still chugging in the arms race. Maybe they haven't noticed they just passed a million images?

Yes, they are the fastest to approve images right now, but there is no viewerships for images up online for 3 days, my batch of 60 approved and online but no views :'(, and no sales :'(

After I complained, finally I got a sale after three days of blank :)

Anyway comparing with DT, FT is less than 1/3 earnings with similar portfolio.

Ditto..

Just had a so-so image approved in under an hour.

Not that it's a bad image you understand, just not my best work. ;-).

Had two sales on there today, which is about average for me on FT.

We're to have images approved so fast though, I was expecting that particular image to be rejected by them and DT, be interesting to see who else approves it (uploaded it to SS, FT, DT and IS)

Cheers, Me.

beisea,

On the contrary, FT is very well to me this month, almost beating DT.  It may not be my best month there because in June I had two special licenses sales, but otherwise I'm doing fine.

Unfortunately my approvals are not so fast as others are experiencing.  I am however not having rejections even after the 1M images milestone.

Regards,
Adelaide

Fotolia seem to be suffering like every other microstock site when it comes to the Q in the summer. Not only are the approvers/reviewers/inspectors taking holidays but I suspect the photographers are also taking holidays and taking more shots, particularly travel.

So, us microstockers hate weekends and we hate the summer...my friends all think I am crazy!

But overall for me, Fotolia still remains my No.2 site after IS.

Really seems odd for me, the last 7 days I only have 2 dl, while the previous 7 days I have 11dl, on top of that I just added 60 last week, did not get any boost, but there is no views for my new 60 images :'(

On the other hand I am extremely happy with DT, the same time period I have 17 dl, while still waiting for the batch of 60 to be approved by DT ( 60 less than FT )

If you have a small portfolio that sort of difference is not odd at all. I think you need a portfolio of at least 1000 images to be able to make any inference as to whether it is slow or not at the moment....

With over 2500 images at Fotolia, I can tell you that I have experienced no slow down there, the only site not to be suffering during the summer apart from with the length of the Q!
