well, some people still think 30 cts is better than nothing.
i don't. but you chose to opt in to subs, so you got to accept the reality.
congrats on your earnings, though.
it's almost like giving it away, only it's 30 cents more than free.

I get already upset with one subs once in a while, get mad with two in a row.

We have to fight against subs...

That must be campaign of contributors on agencies... ;)

Some agencies make first step in that direction for time coming " after subs"... You know which of them...

I'm brand new to Fotolia and just uploaded (still keywording) my first batch of images. I can't seem to find very much info on the sub sales. How do you "opt out"?

By not uploading  ;D

But seriously, there is no way to opt out of subs on Fotolia.

I must have missed something. I though people were saying that they were opting out.

Thanks for the info.

You can opt out only for your exclusive pictures. Everything non-exclusive is available via subs, no choice.

borg, on the other thread we were discussing "cuppacino" .
it made me think, "surely a buyer who pays for a cuppacino would expect to pay just as much for a photograph/image usage, and not think oh 30 cents is all this is worth"  ???

I can live with subs as long as it looks like this (Dreamstime):

Looking at the n/a as search term, I presume sub sales can attract attention to your portfolio and serve as engine for healthy sales.
In my opinion, Dreamstime did the right marketing simulations for the balance between subs and normal sales.
Subs shoud ideally be sales you wouldn't have made at all without subscription, without cannibalizing your real sales.
If some sites become subscription-only sites in disguise, they'd better make up by sheer volume like Shutterstock.
I dumped Crestock which has the worst of both worlds.

I did? When? As far as I can remember fotolia introduced subs without asking me and they gave me no option to opt out (except by deleting all my files).

Flemish: I could also live with subs like yours :D
