Apoligies for stating the bleading obvious but in am sure i wasn't the only one trying to use the old log in details

ftp://submit.fotolia.com

User is the 5 digit number as before

password is a combination of your username and password eg fintastique***********

FTP details

I uploaded a few yesterday and keyworded some.

Apparently categories are now optional, the spellchecker isn't great a lot of country names aren't in their dictionary.

Extended licence default setting is off and when you switch it to on the default value is $1 so remember to change.  ???

The buy the rights options has apparently gone  :'( even if the picture is set to exclusive.

I played briefly with the folder option, pictures can be grouped but they still appear in the full list. Allegedly we will be able to do group changes to the contents of a folder.

I think the search engine is improving slowly Glasgow has been found  ;D but Edinburgh is still AWOL  :( though some searches for some of my illustrations are just showing a very small selection.  :'(

In other weird things, they dropped the description I just noticed...  what?

The description is pretty important to placement for some of my images, as I had a decent description for them rather than keyword spamming....  Hmmm.  Bummer.

ARGH!  And you can't edit the title on old images at the moment, to pad them out a bit to replace the lack of description.

Off to the FL forums to see if anyone has blown a gasket over there about it yet!

I can't FTP to fotolia.
You'll be able to reliably FTP and edit images there ... when pigs can fly!
(sorry 'bout that, I  couldn't resist)

I have asked about this is another thread, because I did not remember FT not having a description filed (but with so many sites around, I could be wrong).  Also in my only attempt to upload in the new system, the title was filled with the description from the IPTC data.

Regards,
Adelaide

I really am surprised that anyone is actually uploading to FT.  I mean nothing actually works.  Even the uploads have the IPTC mapped to the wrong fields.

They seem unable to resolve anything.  Still no news about missing keywords etc, and we are now approaching three weeks since this disaster began.

Rankings don't work; people are being upgraded to gold and emerald when they don't qualify.

Even the small spelling mistake of 'indox' remains unresolved (and has now been removed from the 'to do list').

It's a total shambles.  I am certainly not going to upload anything.
