For those of you who opted video content into the Free collection, I want to give you a heads up that the approved clips are in the process of being transferred to the Free collection at this time and that $8 per approved video will be added to your contributor balance. This process should be complete by the end of the day today. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank for information, Unfortunately my nominated assets don't pick up.   

My video was accepted into Free collection. 

Is there any way we can see which of the nominated assets were picked for the free collection?

Edit: never mind, found it.

But, if you search this free collection yourself using the tags of your videos, you might be able to find it.

If you check the 'Eligible for free collection' option on your dashboard (set the filter to 'All'), you can see a 'FREE' label at the ones that have been selected by Adobe, I think.

This outcome has admittedly shaken my confidence as a stock footage creator. Rejection isn't easy for anyone. I'm left wondering if the quality of my assets was not up to par or if there were other factors at play.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback or advice from this community. Have any of you experienced something similar? What could be the reasons behind such a decision?

I didn't nominate any. I felt that $8 is too low for videos when images got $5.

Hi Daniel. I wouldn't take it personally. I think many factors are at play. I think they review videos depending on the Free Collection aims and demands. I think 10% acceptance is about right but out of the ones accepted in my portfolio, they chose videos that I thought were pretty poor and the better ones they chose not to accept.  Also if you had only 80 for review then your chances for selection are even smaller (80 is quite a small number in the grand schemes of things). Anyways I would't let it knock your confidence at all. Maybe they thought all your videos are to strong for the free collection

Out of 675 eligible videos, i submitted around 200 videos and none of them selected, that doesn't mean my videos are not good. I just selected videos those are having less chance of selling. I don't feel bad about it, as the videos that I don't selected they bring me more earnings than that they offered

If these 80 videos of yours were good from your point of view, but they weren't taken, then they are bad in Adobe opinion. Yes, I believe that only the best videos in terms of popularity and demand are included in this collection.

Disagree, my one single file that was chosen is a very mundane winter shot.

The only "qualifier" I can see is that it is a vertical video.

I have also accepted vertical video, I am not sure if all is vertical I just did quick check.

I actually had quiet a few selected, 57.  I only submitted ones that had 0 sales, and a lot of them were vertical nature timelapses.
I didn't expect that many at all. Vertical is still one of those things I don't like, but I need to play the game.

One rejection cannot be your final judgement. Let the buyers decide, if buyers are buying your videos then you are doing it right, if not, improve yourself.

This industry required patience. You need to experiment with many themes and see which is getting popular.
Free section from Adobe is just a small bonus, nothing else.

I agree with all of the points you made.

On the sales front, I have no complaints. I produce varied and high-quality content, which has been my main goal for a while now. And it has certainly paid off.

However, an additional bonus from Adobe this month would have given me a bit of a sales boost and increased my confidence

Interestingly, someone purchased one of the videos under review during the review process.

Anyway, I felt compelled to seek everyone else's opinion on this forum to understand this matter better. The diversity of opinions and experiences shared here has helped me gain better insight.
