Hi All,
It was just announced that HD videos are now worth 5 downloads rather than 1 in consideration of rank at Fotolia.
I've been talking to a lot of customers and it's obvious to me that high quality stock video content is very much in demand. There is a lot of opportunity to earn some serious money with video content. This change will help video contributors jump up in rank much faster and increase earnings.
Cheers!

Still dont understand why you do not have a Fotolia badge on your account here.

How much do you get for aHD clip dl? I am not contributing to FT at this time.

You can find information on prices and royalties here: http://us.fotolia.com/Info/Contributors/VideosPricing (http://us.fotolia.com/Info/Contributors/VideosPricing)

I dont know of what jumping in contributors ranking you are talking about. Maybe you dont know that Fotolia punish authors and accusing them that they sell images elsewhere cheaper than on FT and reset they ranking to white level at 20 or 25% royalty without any logical explanation.
Seams only FT hold rights to sell at cheapest price point and screw authors for royalties!? WaTaFaka???
Give us our rankings back!!!

30% or more (depending on ranking) of 75 credits for HD 1080, 35% of 50 credits (minimum) under the subscription plan.
I haven't been a contributor on FT in many years, so I don't know if 1 credit always equals $1 as it used to. But if it still does, that translates to:
$22.50 for credit (at 30% commission) and $17.50 for sub sales.

Thanks everyone for the info. I have just signed up to be a video contributor.
It seems that I need a FTP account. But I cannot log in. Can someone please explain it to me? Thanks!

I got annoyed at pissy assed little sales and folded my account at Fotolia before you had a chance to talk to customers looking for high end video. For now I think I will stick with the few agencies who realized it was a good idea to support the contributors from the start.

Great statement. It would be really nice if mat was taking his posts straight from the new owners, who realize how crummy Ft treats their contributors.

Itīs a nice move, but it would be more interesting if there were more hd sales. All my last sales have been these sub sales that I thought have ended. Maybe it was customers using up their last use of the old sub option?
I certainly would appreciate it if Fotolia became stronger in video sales.

Yes, apparently a "bug" caused the inadvertent sale of who knows how many subscription packages for the purchase of cheap and I mean cheap video clips. A "bug" accidently set up a pricing structure, with payment schemes, customer point tracking etc.? Yey right. The "bug" was sitting in a boardroom who made that decision.
And for the record FT, SS sells more subscriptions for me than regular single sales and they are usually at a higher price than single sales. And lets not even mention P5.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I just signed up and haven't uploaded anything yet. I thought you could opt out of sub sales, no?

i agree, this is crap, only higher rank not more money, ahhh.
Fotolia is making a fool out of us always

Ah that's great, now if only i could get some actual sales that would be even better because it looks like someone's turned off the tap.
