Interesting test that I did to see if the overall review process is very slow or are they being selective. I uploaded what I will call lower commercial value images and videos and they have been in the Que for weeks and still there. I uploaded what I consider a high commercial value image and it was reviewed and accepted in less than eight hours thus I know what's going on. They are looking for images that they feel are of high potential of sales. I cannot say what type of image it was because I don't want them to punish me. But I now know the real deal...

a likely story...

It's a good theory and may well be the case, but you would need to test it with more than one image, otherwise it might just be a coincidence.

Good theory, lets all keep testing. Maybe they do fast-track trending topics.

They aren't fast-tracking seasonal content though. (For example my non-AI Christmas videos that are in the slow queue.)

I cannot confirm this theory at all, though, of course, what I consider an image with high or low commercial value might differ from your opinion.

I can imagine a differentiation of the review duration with regard to the quality of the submitted images.
However, I have not observed this in my own experience since I upload only similar high quality AI images.

But what I definetly observed is a differentiation if the contributor is new or longer registered.

The new contributors are faced not only with an upload limit of 50 but have also wait for months.

The old experienced ones have currently to wait just for some days.

I have tested this with my old account, which is registered in 2010 and a new one registered in 2024.
With the old account I get about 200 images reviewed between 2 and 3 days (people, seasonal, lifestyle content, etc.)

I obviously don't use the new one anymore and shifted all content to the old account.

I would also not be very surprised if the review time sink if you generate higher income for Adobe via more sales.

Also can't confirm this. I have been an Adobe contribut for many years. My oldest image still waiting to be review was submitted 3 months ago.

same here, on adobe over 15 yrs - long waits for most images, including AI

So I have the most reviews when the wind is blowing from the southwest, except when the moon is full.  ;)

My last submission was reviewed in 4 days. Previous several weeks. My work it's not on top but not so worst. Seeming no rules. On my last sub some photos (not IA) were rejected for "technical issues". which way do you use when you want stand up for  your work? Just submit again or what?

As single test with a sample size of one is hardly conclusive evidence for anything.
