Hi recently I've tried to sync mine with adobe but I think I screwed up everything and fotolia support asked me to contact Adobe to fix the problem and I contacted them but no response whatsoever.

I would like to know anyone faced the same problem migrating to Adobe Stock,

and one more thing I am not complaining but I don't understand why Adobe is pushing Fotolia to an end, with a super annoying reCaptcha and with almost no sales at all while other agencies are working fine, is there any difference between Adobe Stock and Fotolia

Thanks

I would like to know anyone faced the same problem migrating to Adobe Stock,

I had no problem syncing my FT portfolio with AS. And I wouldn't call it a "migration," but rather a "symbiotic relationship" since both are still functioning well.

Images I upload to FT and process there show up on AS as soon as they're accepted on FT.

Changes in titles or keywords that I make on AS immediately show up on FT.

Sales made through one show up on the other, and vice versa.

My credits and earnings show up identically on both.

Maybe there's something going on that I don't know about, but I see nothing different with the two sites than over the last months or year.

I understand that your account has problems, but once those are sorted out I think you'll see that Fotolia is still fully functional - I upload via Adobe Stock and check all my stats via Fotolia (because it has more to offer at the moment on the contributor side of things).

You can't always tell, but as many of the royalty amounts are different via the different sites, I know I'm still getting sales via Fotolia as well as via Adobe Stock. You'll see Adobe/Fotolia is the number two site on the list on the right - and that's true for me and at similar ratios. I only see the captcha on my mobile device.

Perhaps Mat Hayward can help you get your account migration problems sorted out - he has an account here and you could send him a message.

I for one wish I could just have stayed with Ft since I had ten times more sales then before this merger with Adobe. I recon I know why. Two week back I suggested to an AD at an ad-agency to look for four of my shots at Adobe and he said " adobe???? why? its a programming company"!
I dont think its sunk in that they are also dabbling in stock?

Sounds like that art director isn't keeping up with Adobe products. Anybody who uses the creative suite should know that images are integrated in from the apps.

Hi Jo Anna, luckily my problem got fixed they created new account instead of syncing my old fotolia account that's why couldn't find my files there,  and I hope it will work as fotolia one.

I am fan of Adobe and its creative cloud suite but I hate what it's doing with Fotolia...

Fotolia already is a well-established stock photo agency and it's among the top ones I really don't understand why they are trying to stop or remove it

From where did you get the new that Adobe wants to stop or remove Fotolia? Some sources?

They automatically encourage all traffic on route to FT to go to Adobe Stock instead. No more new accounts can be set up at Fotolia and Alexa Rankings show a continued (large) decline in traffic to FT due to their traffic management. No need for sources, they're own actions tell you that they are trying to suck the life out of FT and divert it to Adobe Stock.

There is no doubt that the traffic is diverted to Adobe and the Fotolia interface will probably be soon discontinued.
But that doesn't mean that Adobe is discontinuing the stock image business. Actually Adobe position on the creative market could be a very powerful platform for microstock sales.

I must admit that I have some doubts about Adobe willingness in this direction: Maybe they are seen microstock as only a way to leverage the position of their core activity

Other than poor stats reporting, Adobe seems like an improvement. Although, FT wasn't that amazing to begin with, so it may not have been a high bar to clear.

I think mainly their acquiring of FT and merge into microstock was a way to provide more, and get more recurring revenue from subscribers. At this point CC has pretty much reached market saturation, I'm sure new subscriptions have declined into single digit percentages but, offering images (at I think $10 a pop) and image subscriptions give them other ways to expand revenue ... diversifying a bit if you will.

They're also beginning to jump into the 3d space it looks like, I haven't had a chance to dabble with whatever new software they just launched but, I used to love doing 3d back in school ... so I might play around with whatever their new software was called, if winter is slow.

I don't think that they're "killing off" Fotolia, quite the opposite really. Since Adobe acquired it I've seen an increase. The Alexa ratings falling is probably more a result of duplicate content than anything ... in which case the new Adobe Stock portal would take the hit as well.

We could probably sit and make assumptions all day but, in reality, both are publicly traded companies. We could compare the last three years and I'd imagine see a positive trend.

Buddha was a real living person: Siddhārtha Gautama. He was a "sage", not a god

And he was not the founder of Fotolia
