Seems like we can't trust Shutterstock anymore..
Adobe still has fair commissions (at least compared to the new SS nonsense)

Agreed here. Also, not just illustrative editorial but open up to editorial with people for both stills and video.
-
Oh, PLEASE let us upload editorial video.
There is so much money in editorial.
If they are worried about being flooded, give us upload limits until you have the right balance.
It would send such a strong message and Adobe could become really successful with video.

With you on this for stills. I'm always surprised that they leave so much money on the table by not taking regular editorial images. It would be a great time for them to launch this given there are so many contributors currently feeling #shaftedbyshutterstock. It wouldn't even take much beyond three simple steps:
I) Add an Editorial Use tickbox on the submission page
2) Add Editorial Use only wording on the buyers page
3) Tell their reviewers that editorial images do not require model/property releases
See, I just launched it for them. We just need them to action it now.....

Also editorial is a really important thing in the video world. I have a lot of footage of aviation, or cargo container port operation in Rotterdam, general freight trransportation, which are popular things that mostly only work as editorial

They actually do accept
Images and videos that are newsworthy, timely, and depict real people, events, places and products.

If we don't have press credentials it is another story, right?

That's a partnership deal they have with Reuters. Regular contributors (us) cannot currently submit editorial images - other than the very restricted Illustrative Editorial (product type images with no people allowed).

Lets get organized this weekend... start a petition to get them to accept editorial images and photos. Now is the time to strike! They have so much to gain right now by accepting it now.
-
Do it Adobe!

+1

Even if it's just the same as with photos, editorial videos without people, it would still be great progress
-
How can we get an official petition started that people can actually sign and we can post on social media sites and gain momentum?
Anyone on here have an expertise in the best and most efficient way to get this going?

Shutterstock doesn't deserve my editorial videos anymore, but they are the only one that actually sells them :(
Come on Adobe, do something about it!
