Title: Livestream today featuring Adobe Stock Head of Content Sarah Casillas
Post by: MatHayward on January 27, 2022, 14:13
Hi Everyone,

I would like to invite you to join me today for a livestream session that should prove to be informative for contributors. At 12pm PT on Behance live I'll be joined by Adobe Stock Head of Content Sarah Casillas where she will look back on Adobe Stock contributor accomplishments in 2021 and give a sneak peak into what you can all expect from us in 2022.

After Sarah's presentation I'll be joined by Shea Molloy who is the Content Development Lead at Adobe Stock for Vectors and Illustrations where she will be discussing ways to scale production of those asset types to maximize potential and grow your portfolio in a meaningful way.

I'll then take over and discuss ways to do the same with photos and videos.

It's a jam packed agenda and I hope you can tune in!

Here is a link to the Adobe Stock page at Behance Live, refresh the page at 5 minutes before noon PT and you'll be in the right place.

Thank you!

Mat Hayward

Thank you very much, Mat.
I find it really very impressive how you are the only agency that keeps in touch with us. Even if everything is not always perfect, at least you make us feel noticed and respected.

But if my sliming around here doesn't result in mass downloads tomorrow for me, I'm going to be pissed.  ;)

p.s
Adobe ask us to join the "game" of uploading to earn money. But for playing the game you have to know (all) the rules of the game. Apart from good key-wording, having a good title, submit a quality photo, submit what customers want, it's also important that when you obey by these rules to know where you are positioned and how long you stay there.
I am really sorry to bring it up again but I noticed that position is almost everything. If I know what the rules are for positioning then all the rules for the game are clear and I can play the game.
I know that you are saying, you don't know, and you come with the obvious recipe, but what is the secracy about it?

Example. let's say you upload a new photo, you get get placed up pretty high because you are new and that is a bonus for Adobe to refresh search results. Then afterwards. after a certain but unknown time, on basis of your sales and position you get calculated again in the algorithm. If you sell well according to your position, you stay there, if not, you drop. Completely fair and no way to cheat but why not just make these rules public then?

I rather accept that my photo is not that popular then that I don't understand why it drops all of a sudden. Unless it's just random and it's lottery who get's to the first three lines. Now I don't know and that seems to be more frustrating.

Food for thought maybe for Adobe?

Thanks Mat. Adobe's engagement with contributors really takes me back to the golden days of IStock and SS.

One topic you might answer to. I know the other one is a pain in the ...

In the last episode you talked about submitting mutliple images of the same object. Submit them horizontal, vertical, space to the left, space to the right, etc...

Could you elaborate a bit more, that when you supply multiple images of the same object, in different angles, that at the same time you are not risking getting  a rejection of similar?

Much obliged :)

But please not the lame answer that they have to differ a bit like a worker of Adobe said. That's not useful.
