Hi Everyone,

This morning we updated the minimum commission structure. You can view details at this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html

The breakdown detailing the changes can be seen in this chart. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Mat,

this is great news and a step in the right direction!

It would be even better though if the "minimum payment" would be really the mininum (for all sales). At the moment everyone below Emerald still gets less than the "minimum" for XS credit sales at Fotolia. Or am I mistaken?

Lev Dolgachov asked on my Facebook post about the minimum commissions for the diamond rank (>1.000.000 downloads).
These stay the same at 0,40$, according to Adobe member Kirsten Harris:

However, so far only one contributor (Monkey Business) reached that ranking.

Are you saying that professional people still use Facebook? 🤔

I keep seeing this headline and thinking I've fallen  into a time-warp and it's 2006 all over again

Thanks Mat!

These are great news alright.
But what about us - the video contributors?
We have our flat rate without any increase - at least not a feasible one.
The numbers of downloads on this rank system are WAY off for video.
Why can't we have our own ranking system?
I have hundreds of downloads a year - so only a decade or so to the next level. Not too bad :(

Adobe? Anyone?

In the light of Commission Increase shall I start uploading my video clips to Adobe's site instead of continuing with Fotolia? I already have 1700 clips on Fotolia.
Please advise.

It makes no difference, all uploads are sold on both sites.

It looks like there is a difference in commissions, like for HD clip Adobe pays $4 more than Fotolia for Bronze rank.

Those are differences beyond your control unless you can influence which site a buyers purchases your work from.  The site you upload to makes no difference as all uploads are sold on both sites regardless.

Good stuff, does this now match up to SS prices or does it exceed them

Depending on which tier you are on you may get more on one site than the other, but in general they match up.

So is there any reason that I am still seeing some sales @ 25c?

Is there an option in there somewhere that only pays this or is it an error?

Thanks

If your rank is Silver, this is a XS (1 credit) sale.

I sell editorial images on SS much better than on Alamy. But where do I find my ranking on the Fotolia website or Adobe website? I get as little as 0.25cents for a download.

Ah, OK - thanks, I understand now.

I guess I found the opening statement and chart on this thread to be a little misleading. It just states that the minimum for Silver contributors is to be 36c from 24th September, following an update to the 'minimum commission structure'. It doesn't make it entirely clear that this minimum doesn't apply to all sales. Fortunately, those 25c sales are only occasional.

I'm glad of the pay rise, so I'm not complaining, just a little surprised that it hasn't been applied across the board.

No, Premium content has a different price structure.
