Title: new $4.75 sales?
Post by: Zero Talent on February 06, 2017, 13:39
I just experienced a large amount of $4.75 sales of various resolutions XXL, L, etc.

Does anyone know what kind of sales are these?

ELs?  What price do you have set for ELs?  I haven't seen any for that amount before - most of mine lately have been for 99 cents or less.

I set all my EL prices to maximum allowed (gold level): 100.

I've had a couple of these $4.76 sales today and was wondering the same thing about where these are coming from but I'm not complaining :)

It can't ELs then - glad it isn't.  No idea what else it could be.

I had a couple of these this morning. In FT's "My sales list" is says 4.76 credits - everywhere else is says $4.75.

On Adobe's site, it says it's a subscription sale. On FT's list it does not say XXL (credits) the way other credit-based sales are reported, so it looks like other subscriptions but just with a higher royalty.

My extended licenses are 100 credits on FT and $79.99 on Adobe. I also got an extended license this morning for $26.40 royalty, so that must have come from Adobe Stock (79.99 x 33%)

I looked at all the pricing options on Adobe, team and regular, and can't see anything more expensive than the 3 "assets" for $29.99 - which nets us $3.30 royalties.

The fact that we're all seeing the same royalty suggests it's an Adobe sale as our differing ranks at FT would produce different royalties from the same sales price. So what sells for $14.42 (sales price if $4.76 is the royalty)?

I got more of these $4.76 today as well.

I even see one of the more expensive, "Fotolia only" photos being also sold for $4.76.
So it's not only rank independent, but also exclusivity independent.

Maybe Mat can clarify.

In addition to Adobe Stock monthly and annual subscriptions, we also offer custom plans to organizations with high volume licensing needs. Our contributors receive 33% royalties for licenses purchased under most plans including custom plans, and the minimum payout of $0.25 - $0.40 depending on your rank for large subscription plans of 350 or 750 images per month. The $4.75 payout is a commission from a custom plan.
