As much as I like the better sales at Adobe I really can't get on with the new contributor account design. I don't like the logical layout and everything is very difficult to find. I also have no way of searching my images to make sure I am not uploading duplicates.

Anyone else finding the same issues ? Its really awful to navigate. I much prefer the old Fotolia site layout.

I only "synced" to adobe because I was forced to. I liked the fotolia interface much better.

For instance, how do you search and delete an old file to replace ?

Weird. I always found everything hard to find on Fotolia, so Adobe seems like a pretty big improvement from that standpoint.

You can't you have to wade thru all the images :(

It is a very poor interface

I prefer old Fotolia interface as well.
Only thing I do like is images not tiny thumbnails I cannot see.  And being able to edit and correct typos.
I liked the subcategories on Fotolia as well as all else.

They call it "progress".
You know, when you have something already good and you make something worst just because you "feel" that you "should" make something new (exciting)

Unfortunately this doing things better worst is a new trend these last years :(

I think Microsoft must have used this same strategy  8)

I think adding a search to our portfolio on the Dashboard would help tremendously.

Adding weekly rankings and overall rankings would be really nice.

And making the earnings as the default selection instead of activity on the Insights section would save me a lot of clicks. I don't care for activity, just earnings.

This came up in Reply #52 in the other thread with Mat Hayward, http://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/important-fotolia-announcement/50/

Mat agrees that having a search feature is very important and he has sent a request for it to their development team.

Yes agree and for being the creative heights and industry standard I would have thought they would have more imagination!

There is no better income in adobe, I think!

How do you edit or add more keywords once accepted ?

How do you edit or add more keywords once accepted ?

From the contributor dashboard, find the image to be edited (that's the hard part!). Click on the thumb and then the pencil next to the keywords. Make the changes you need and then save.

I have no problem with the design.
I never really liked Fotolia.
Plus, sales have improved substantially which is all that really matters.

I wish there was a way to see how many views a photo has had.  Of course downloads is important, but there is good information to be had knowing how many views a given photo has.

About all 'views' tell you is how many people didn't buy your image. That's more depressing than informative.

I too find Adobe confusing and have trouble finding my way around. I don't have similar problems with other stock agencies.

...I found a very nice tool at AS in Insights >> My statistics >> Earnings  ... where you can visualize all your progress over all years you worked with FT ... in FT site, the stats were restricted only for last two years...
What is missing at AS:

1) a list (not gallery) of all files...
2) an easy tool to index files, also in groups, not just one by one, it would speed up indexing, now it takes too much efforts, especially for arranging your top 10 keywords ...
3) stats for views (views can tell you what buyers search for within your portfolio, and how your image is attractive at least in the icon size, plus, a hint that is something wrong with your file if it has views but no downloads), it is worth to know this info...

As a Footage only contributor, I have to agree with what's been said.

1) Views are our lifeline - without those, we have no feedback whatsoever regarding the clips. (yes, downloads are a nice statistic, but they are few and far between on footage - we need to see what is being looked at to help us determine what is in demand).

2) Ability to choose thumbnail.  Why this hasn't been a top priority for years I have no idea.  I have lost count of the number of pure black/green clips in my port due to the "3 second" still rule, or whatever they use - a good thumbnail is fundamental to selling a clip.

3) Layout - I don't need big thumbnails of my clips showing me my downloads. I need an easy to read columnar format (such as the old Fotolia dashboard or Pond5) showing me the relevant data such as views/downloads/review status etc.

Hope you can address some or all of these soon.

I'll second the preceding requests for an ability to see how many people have viewed an individual image.

That's what I'm missing most about the old FT layout.

And I'll also second the request for "batch indexing" of images that share the same categories and keywords. What a huge time saver that would be!

Helpful for what? I know I don't get paid for a view and I can't see how someone looking but not buying is helpful. What can I learn from views. I understand I'd like to see what people are looking at, but if mine doesn't get the sale, I don't know much about why.
