Title: Payment after closing account
Post by: Ariene on July 17, 2014, 00:01
In this thread (http://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/fotolia-still-at-it-they-closed-my-account/msg385390/#msg385390) I wrote about waiting for my money from Fotolia few times. They replied only first messages and I get reply no more.
How did it start? I decided to close my account (with last 1 image and I guess it was around 2nd June) but there it was less than min. limit 50cr so I asked them (to make sure) if I'll be paid when closing account with <50cr. "Yes, you should get money in 1-2 weeks max".

After that I asked them again when can I expect my payment but there's only silence. Long time ago they promised to push my question to technical section and they'll be back. It's over month now and I'm still waiting for my money from FT. No contact from them at all.

So, sorry to say that but looks like Fotolia doesn't want to pay... my earned money  ::)

Why should I? I asked them if they'll pay before 50cr and the answer was - yes, in 1-2 weeks. I don't get your question I'm affraid.

what i was trying to say is: you asked and they have answered "yes"....but if you know microstock assistance you should be aware of their "superficiality" and "rudeness" and know that you should not trust 100% them...i know this is not right but is reality  :P

So my question, did you had really a necessity to shut down the account (maybe because you are signing exclusive somewhere)...if not you should have wait the payout as it is the secure way to be sure of the payout :)

Yes, Fotolia will close your account and pay you the remaining balance. They may ask for a small fee if the money is under the payout amount. Unless their policy has changed. Just ask them to close your account and send you a final payout again. Something must have gone wrong in the communication before.

cthoman, I (they) closed my account right after few messages exchange and information that I'll be paid <50cr in 1-2 weeks, all in June. This is just not serious.

I'm not sure what to tell you. I contacted support when I closed my account before. 1-2 weeks seems like a quick turn around, since they are removing images and have to wait for them to clear the system and calculate any remaining sales, partner sales, etc. I don't remember how much time it took, but a month or two doesn't seem out of the ordinary for most agencies to completely expunge an image from the system. Just keep on top of them and keep asking.

Send an email with your Fotolia login name or account number to me:  [email protected]

I'll take a look and see what's going on.
