I've been having troubles getting payouts from Fotolia and am wondering if they are having site issues or perhaps some financial problems.

I have a payout still pending from August 2009 and am unable to request further payouts.  In November I tried to request a payout and received an error message that said "You cannot make a new conversion until the previous one has been processed".  I sitemailed Fotolia and it was explained that my phone number was missing from my account.  After I provided it, I received a payout.

Again today, I request a payout and the same message appears.  It seems that the original August payout has never been received and, each time, user intervention is required to get a payout.

Is anyone else experiencing problems getting payouts?

no issues, works fine for me (just need to wait for some time, usually a few days, but no errors)

Nothing like you are experiencing, Nibble, but my last payout did take 2 weeks, and that was a record for Fotolia.

fotolia normally takes just under a work week to transfer my payouts. I've never had them take over a week though and I draw payouts on a regular basis. If you are over a week I would be contacting support about it right away.

I like StockXpert when it comes to payouts .. they always pay me right away. Last week my payout was sitting in paypal after about 12 hours of requesting it.

Would love to know your secret - Fotolia has been taking longer and longer for me.  And I have contacted support when they go over 10 days.  For all the good it's done  :P
StockXpert is up to a week or more now too.  And apparently I am not the only one.  There's a pretty good sized thread on their forum about it.

I have been waiting since 4th December (PayPal).  First I got the generic excuses of "remember it can take up to two weeks for payout" and then I received a new one "reminding me of the holidays".  Well, we have not yet the holidays!!!  And now another member has been told that unless he submits his tax form, the can't/won't process his payment.  And he has already submitted his tax form!

So in my opinion Fotolia is stalling all payments - whether deserved or not.  The withholding tax only comes into effect 1st january 2010 and should not play any role in December payouts.  So what does that mean?  Fotolia might have cash flow problems??  If they don't, then they should prove it by paying us the money we earned and that belongs to US, not them, not the USA IRS!!!

Hey Linn! You made it!!!  :)

Surely transferring money to PayPal is done in no time and should be automatically done. Isn't that what computers are for?!

Your suspicions on delaying the payment may be true!

I'm waiting since the 4th too (but via Moneybookers). A week ago I received the usual "we're processing as fast as we can assuring the payments are done accurately... bla bla bla". Contacted support again yesterday...

edit: just got the exact same reply as before: "We apologize for the delay due to the holidays. Our payment department is currently processing these payments as fast as they can making sure that they are done accurately after they have been validated."

I would understand the Holidays part if I were to request a payment now (I would, if they allowed me), but what holidays have they been celebrating since beginnings of the month?

Like some others, I received my pittance today (MB) ... after waiting 20 days for payout, and which during that period Fotolia earned the interest.

Come on guys! For traditional stocks it takes months to clear payments and you complain when it's longer than a week :)

7-10 days is  good. sometimes it takes 15, and sometimes 20+ days.

Yeah, and traditional stock sells for hundreds or more per image, and the cut is often 40-60% for the photographer.

For the 65% or so that Fotolia takes of my sales it is not unreasonable to ask to get paid in 7-10 days time or better.

Personally it is the lack of consistency that bothers me the most.  I am perfectly okay getting paid once a month by SS and weekly on a pre-set day on IS (even if it is a week in arrears). With Fotolia, it can be anywhere from 2 to 20 days.  That kind of inconsistency breeds unease.

Not to mention you can't make another request until they pay you, so the longer it takes, the more unclaimable money builds up in your account to act as a reminder of the slow payout.

It usually takes 2-3 weeks for me to get payout. It seems that every year the FT payout timeline is longer and longer...
