Anyone else waiting over ten days for a payout request to go through at FT? Usually it only takes a day or two ....
-
8 days for me. Haven't contacted support, but I will if it goes to 10 days. Not that contacting FT support will do any good, but they may try to help eventually.
-
Thanks Hugh, at least I'm not the only one waiting longer than usual. I'll give 'em a couple more days and then maybe try contacting support ...
-
My last payout at the end of last month took 3 days.
-
Ditto.
-
they are always late sending payments.
But, I did just get a payment today - it was requested on Oct 1st.
-
Yep I just got my payment, guess I must have just requested it on the far end of their payment cycle this time round .... ::)
-
I just received (this morning) a payout requested Sept 27th.
I contacted support last Thursday - after waiting one week - and the reply said the usual "sorry for the inconvenience" and that payouts typically take 2 weeks.
Perhaps that's their new norm, but it's pretty sad if that's the case. In the past it has varied widely from same day to 10 days, but never 2 weeks. I guess I'm supposed to feel happy that my payment today was "early"?!

It's the new-and-improved V2, remember? Much better than before.....
-
I am -- put in a request a few days ago but still waiting. I'm not sure this is v2 related as I recall prior cash outs took a while to move from pending to validated.
-
I am waiting for conversion validation for 7 days now... they are really slow.

-
after 10 days pending, my payment finaly arrived today! sweet....
-
Same here, arrived today, from Oct 5
-
I requested a payment two days ago and it arrived 24 hours later.
-
It appears they are a little slow again with payouts... mine is pending 8 days now...
yours?
-
Took 6 days for mine.
-
I got mine within 24 hours of requesting it.
-
Two or so days.
-
I requested mine on Nov 4th (Sunday), still not credited to MB.
Regards,
Adelaide
-
I requested one payment on 31 oct, and second ond 6th nov. and both still pending...
-
first of two pending payments received today.... :) nice...
-
Got my payment credited to MB today. 5 days.

still waiting for my payment - 7 days
-
I'm annoyed, so I resurrect this old thread.
The payment routines at FT are annoying to such a degree that I suggest everybody who have to wait more than 5 days for payment, write a mail to support.
I suppose I'm not the only one who try to synchronise payments from all agencies around the same time of the month to reduce banking fees etc.. I've made a rule of always requesting payment from Fotolia first, since their reputation isn't very good in this area. Still, I usually end up waiting for the money from them before I can get access to my money.
It wouldn't have been such a big problem if this was predictable, but it isn't, and the actual routine is, as far as I have seen, not published on their website.
Currently, I'm on my 9th day of waiting. There's no reason why we should have to wait that long for an electronic money transfer.
-
I sent a mail to support, inquiring about their payment routines. Their answer was "We try to pay out every 1 week". Obviously, they don't succeed at that, and I wonder why on earth they can't. I mean: it's as simple as running a relatively automated routine every Monday or Tuesday or whateverday.
Since I try to coordinate all money requests towards the end of the month, and I assume that many others do that as well, having to wait for one agency to pay, more often than not, is extremely annoying.
Oh well, I'll just have to continue nagging them. If more people would do that, maybe they find the strength to improve their routines.
-
I am having a similar routine as you do. And I am waiting for a payout myself. Last month it didn't take this long. Guess time to contact support here as well.
-
My last few payments took 13 days. So I am used to wait up to 14 days (2 weeks).
I agree, they should have fixed intervals, even like SS, once per month, this is totaly unpredictable. I never know when could it happen, tomorow, or in 10 days... so it is hard to plan other payment requests....
but it is not catastrophy after all... most important is that I get my money.... :)
-
Just an update about FT payments, I'm not sure everyone is aware that FT now requires us to upload a copy of a passport or ID before we request a withdrawal. You only need to upload, no "approval" time is required.
It was good because it reminded me that my passport is expiring in a few months.

Adelaide

Payout requested on May 6th, not paid yet. Other agencies paid in 1-3 days.
Anyone experiencing such a long wait in FT?
Regards,
Adelaide
-
My last request - as yet unpaid - is from May 9th. Fotolia payments seem highly unpredictable, and can be as fast as a few hours or as slow as two weeks (the time support said it could take in response to an earlier inquiry from me).
Today I saw an entry on my "My Credits" page that I have never seen before. Underneath the row that said Available Credits (which showed my current credit balance) was another row that said:
Credits to expire on 06-14-2008: 50
My current balance is less than 50; contributor's credits never expire; I've never purchased any credits from Fotolia. I have no idea what this is about. Does anyone else have an entry like this?
-
I have a similar message too.
-
I received my payout yesterday, and support's answer about the 50 credits was that they were promotional credits given me at some point. I have no idea what they're talking about, but I will look carefully June 14th to make sure they don't take 50 credits away!
I'm guessing this was something related to a payout problem I'd had ages ago (there were 50 credits the system wouldn't let me cash out for reasons they couldn't figure out). Perhaps someone did something behind the scenes then that now looks like promotional credits.
-
I was also paid yesterday.

Adelaide

waiting for 8 day s now for payout! how long does it take?
-
waiting for 8 day s now for payout! how long does it take?
It depends. They process payments once per week, usually on Tuesday (but not always). So, if you asked a payment just the day before they do processing, it will take 1 day. And If you asked one day after pay day, it will take you 8-10 days. Problem is we dont know exactly when is a pay day. So it can take 1-12 days usualy.
-
yeah, i would guess somewhere between 1-14 days. I requested payout on june 1st as well. i wouldn't get too up tight until the 15th.
-
"Me Too" - May 31st, not paid yet.
From memory my last one with them took 10 days, but I'm a bit grey on that....
-
yeah, I have 2 pending 2nd jun and 4th jun. last payday was on 27th may. so it should be again perhaps today or tomorow. my estimation.
-
I'm waiting since May 29th.
-
I put a request in June 1st ... still waiting ... looks like it takes around two weeks to get paid at FT these days >:(
-
FYI - i just got mine now.
-
Got mine yesterday - so May 29th -> June 9th
-
got mine today too!
-
I predicted well! I got mine today aslo! Am I a genius or what? lol.
-
"I predicted well! I got mine today aslo! Am I a genius or what?"
I vote that you are a genius. I believe it was your post RIGHT HERE that prompted FT to finally fork over all the money the owed us.
I think it was a wonderful thing you did for all of us, and for that I wish to extend my gratitude to you.
There will always be a place in my heart for you and the wonderful miracle you performed for all of us here on MSG.
Thank you from the bottom of my pocket book.

ah ha you guys have a good sense of humor :)
can I get paid also ? ;D
-
Thank you MIZ. LOL!
ps.
they did part of the job, I had 3 payments (one from late yesterday), 2 processed, 1 that is still pending, I guess they will finish the job tomorow, for those who are waiting.
-
Yep, all good. Got mine too ... 10 days ::)
-
Mine was requested June 4th, but I didn't get paid today, so there must be more to come - I hope I don't have to wait another week...
-
when was the last payday? I am waiting since 11. aug. And I have some more to ask, but cant until pending one is cleared. :(
-
I got the one I requested after just a few days. I requested one from IS at the same time and I'm still waiting for that one.
-
I had unusual delayed payments this month. I think, it was because of the slight raise of the dollar.
-
I got paid on Tuesday (it seems of late Tuesday is payday) Aug 26th (requested Aug 22nd)
-
I got payed on tuesday, and I requested another one, and get payed today. Nice.
-
Waiting since 10-03-2008, should I be worried?

painful to read miz' comments this thread. It's almost like he's still alive really :(

I had payment from 5th october, got the money today.
-
I am waiting since the 8th. Not worried yet, but would like to be able to cash out again.
-
Requested yesterday, got it today, on MB. I was surprised.

I requested mine on the 15th, too...and then just a few hours later a buyer came in an purchased over 35 of my images, so I reached payout again! Now I have to wait for the first one to go through. It would sure be nice if we could request multiple payments.
-
I agree with NYT - it is silly we have to wait for a payout before we can request another. And with the snails pace of their payouts that means a pretty long wait for most of us while they sit on our $
Congrats on the big sales boom, though! That's always a treat :D
-
It would sure be nice if we could request multiple payments.
Or if they would allow you to edit the amount of the request while it is in the queue...
-
On an up note, I just received my overdue payout. Unfortunately it still shows "pending" on the site, so I can't request another one.
Is there a full moon or something? Having trouble wringing money out of three sites this week.... :(
-

no, not a full moon. but, the world stock market is in a shamble, everyone is losing money like hell broke loose. so the same thing is happening in "stock" photography.
coincidence ? "stock" market, stock photography??? 8).

Just recieved response from FT:
We apologize for the delay. Our customer support department is currently processing these payments as fast as they can making sure that they are done accurately after they have been validated. It can take up to 2 weeks.
Guess what, it's been 2 weeks already!!!

I've been having problems off and on, too, from a few sites myself. IS was the worst case, because I decided to try their direct deposit program. My bank couldn't process the payment and it took three weeks of back and forth with Payoneer before it finally showed up in my account.
-
We'll still no luck for me. This time they wanted to know my username, email, how much was the payment,... So it took them 3 replies till they finally start looking at my problem. And how come I have to supply all those data, don't they keep any records?
This is becoming ridiculous.
-
Just curious, because as I said I received my payment in one day. In which FT are you guys in? I'm in FT USA.
Regards,
Adelaide
-
I'm aslo in FT USA.
-
I'm also wondering what "two weeks" means. Does that mean business days or calendar days?
If it's business days, then you're on day 12. My longest wait with FT-USA is 10 business days.
-
My last one took about 10 days.
-
I finally got my money today, it took 3 weeks.
-
just got a payment from them ,which took just one day.
-
maybe they have certain days out of the month that they pay contributers, like maybe twice a month or something.... hence giving it the 2 week possible waiting period?
Mine took a week and a day, which seems kind of normal for me when Fotolia is involved. Thank god i don't rely on this site for rent money!!!
-
I'm one sale away from my next payout, so I'll see if it goes fast again.
Regards,
Adelaide
-
A payout requested on Oct 25th only reached my MB account today. So it seems they are ranging from 24h to one week or more.
Regards,
Adelaide
-
Mine was fast this time: Requested October 31st, Received November 2nd. But I had to wait up to two weeks before.
-
I was beginning to think they're going out of business or something (sorry - my first post here is doom and gloom sounding).
I finally hit my first $50 mark there, and put in a Paypal payment request. A week goes by, and they tell me I have to resubmit my photo ID to my profile, which I do. Then they tell me it doesn't have all the info they need? (It's a U.S. driver's licence). They have my SSN on file, anyway. So I email them again, and they say it's "processing and can take up to two weeks". So, 20 days goes by with no word. I email again. No reply other than to say it's processing. Then I call them during regular business hours... their phone rings 22 times before it answers, and it sounds like a very basic voice mail machine (!) I send yet another email, and now they ask me for my user name, and all info about the request (wouldn't they HAVE this as I submitted the request when I was logged in??). I give them that, and so far - no answer.
I'm sorry - this seems very fishy to me. This is the type of behavior a company does when it's about to shut down or is being taken over by someone, and they're avoiding everyone - either that or we're talking about complete incompetence on the part of the staff there.
Has anyone else had this problem out of them before? I guess so from reading posts, but it just seems so odd. With iStock, Shutterstock, and Dreamstime I've never had any delays or problems at all getting payments. I'm still waiting for Fotolia to tell me they still need a DNA and urine sample from me next!
-
there is no problem. as far as I can remember fotolia is paying every 10-12th day of their internal cycle. so if you are lucky to ask payment a day before end of cycle you will get money in 1 day. if you are unlycky to ask payment day after end of cycle you will get money in 10-12 days. simple as that, and it has been like that in last year, at least.

agreed
-
yes the payment from Fotolia comes slowly sometimes, but it comes without problems.
Asking for and ID at registration or at the first payment is normal practice for all microstocks, and they will not do that every time (only once in beginning).
-
I understand there's certain things they need, but they now have had everything they need from me for a long time. Just today when they replied to my last email they again said they needed my user name and the date of the original request - even though I've sent this to them TWICE already and told them so, and even also left it on their voice mail!
They're driving me mad - it's like listening to a broken record over and over. If it were five or ten dollars I'd just tell these people to shove it and close my account, but when you get to $50 - hey, that's my phone bill for a month. LOL. I need that during the Xmas season. ARGH I can honestly say I've never dealt with such an incompetent company in my 42 years of life. And hey - I've even been to Alabama!
-
I'm not worried about Fotolia going out of business. The sales there are good.
But this is really getting to be a PITA waiting so long for payouts. I have one pending since the 6th now. That is just too long. Especially when you can only request one payout at a time.
Considering all the fraud issues and security problems they have had over the past couple of years I am not comfortable being forced to let balances accumulate in the account.
Not to mention if I could make requests more often then maybe when they FINALLY trouble themselves to pay I could collect more than one payout at a time.
Wrote to Chad and heard nothing. Obviously paying royalties is just not a big priority with Fotolia and hasn't been for months.
-
still waiting
-
Just had a payout from them in less than 48 hours. That must be some kind of record :)
-
I finally got mine today. 12 Days waiting.
Looks like Peter nailed it. They pay on a 12 day cycle regardless of when you ask for it. I always request as soon as I get a payment, so looks like I will be waiting 12 days on a regular basis.
Would it really break them to schedule payouts every week instead of nearly every two weeks? Or alternately allow us to go back to requesting payouts while we have one outstanding (which we could always do up until a couple of months ago)?
It does not inspire warm feelings when they throw up pointless obstacles to getting our money.
-
me to. today. :) see? this is the cycle. this guy asked money 2 days ago, I asked 8 days ago, and we all got it today. :) Do not panic in the future. FT alyway pay their contributors. Sooner or later. :D
-
Still waiting. So you guys got through the payment cycle? They are a pain in the a**. I find them and 123rf almost impossible to deal with.
Every time I want to get paid I have to reload my ID.
I asked Fotolia for a payout, and then DT 5 days later. DT paid me last Thursday. I am still "pending" with Fotolia.
-
I got mine today after a 7 day wait (again) and like Lisa just did another request, it's a PITA

Here is their latest reply
