Heads up! PNG downloads are now available on the Adobe Stock customer facing site. Thanks to all of you who have submitted this content to make it happen. Keep it coming!

Great news! Is there a way for the customer to explicitly search for PNG's?

If I want to direct interested people to the png collection on Adobe, what link do I give them?

Or should they just search for "png"?

Will we get feedback in our stats if the customer downloaded png or jpg? That could be really helpful to see what customers prefer.

I agree that it would be great for contributors to see how many PNG vs JPEG downloads there were for relevant items.

There is a new way to search - a filter called Background where you can pick All, Transparent or Isolated Assets. If you click the helpful information icon you see an explanation of isolated vs. transparent (bonus points to Adobe for choosing two adorable dogs to illustrate)

If I give someone a portfolio link, they can't filter by transparency (just images, video, 3D, etc.) but the PNG uploads show with a checkerboard background which is great.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks Jo Ann!

Ok, I found it! Thank you very much Jo Ann!

Now I can send a screenshot for those interested.

ETA:

Just discovered there is the option to select content from local artists. That is a great feature! If I want a German apple cake and not an american looking apple pie, this should really help.

Mat, how will buying customers (and potential customers) find out about this new service?  Will Adobe make an announcement somehow, such as a newsletter?

@Mat
It would be great if we could upload PNG and JPG and EPS in only one Zip file . This makes it easier for us to work

This is nice, but does the average customer even know about this search feature? Would it make more sense to promote PNGs in a more upfront way?

Some of my vectors (newly uploaded) with white background are automatically available also as PNG , but my old vectors aren't

Can I ask what size of artboard do you use for the file to be available as PNG? I suppose there is some minimum size?

5927 X 4000 or 5000 X 5000 in both JPG and EPS

Thank you very much. I typically have smaller artboard so I must change my routine now.

Have to say, so far not knocking my socks off in terms of additional sales. Hopefully when the marketing kicks in that will change.

Did we make the wrong decision uploading early? Sales already trailing off for the first pngs I uploaded (got some sales of the jpegs). I assume rather than getting a first mover advantage (as it was sold) older images are just going to be buried in the searches/ old news by the time sales start in earnest (assuming they do).

Hopefully customers "just don't know about" png's being available yet. Time will tell.

Maybe they will announce it at Adobe Max (next week)? So we won't wait too long to see if it was worth it.

No, it wasn't a mistake. It was a solid move. This is very early days so I would strongly encourage you to remain patient.

thanks,

Indeed but selling very well already. I created a collection within AS to monitor sales and already notched around 250 sales so far.

I made a collection, but is there anyway to see the stats on it without just counting downloads up?
