Title: Problems with logging in...
Post by: leszek on May 05, 2008, 07:45
Anyone else ? The site rejects my perfectly valid username and password, only to accept it after 3 or 4 attempts. But sometimes the browser just says "Done" - but nothing shows up. Fotolia started playing up couple of days ago - and is getting worse. Sometimes I can't even get the site. Any ideas ?

I have noticed that after one of my antivirus/antispy programs cleans everything (including cookies), I can't log in directly as a member: first I need to go to www.fotolia.com (I presume that the cookie is sent while connecting), and then I can log in using http://www.fotolia.com/Member/Contents

But now even the www.fotolia.com seems to work very randomly.

It really pisses me off.

I use Mozilla, have Java script and cookies enabled etc. No problems whatsoever with any of the other sites (and many others) - it is just Fotolia  ???

It was down for a while yesterday.  Try using en.fotolia.com or us.fotolia.com (whichever country you are in) and see if that helps.  If you log in from the front page your username can contain capital letters, if you are on the log in page you need to use all lower case, no idea why.

Thanks. It must have been a server problem or some such - all is back to normal now.

I have no problem logging using Firefox. Do you have any add blocking plug-ins installed?

No plug-ins - just SpySweeper and PC-Cillin running. But - as I said - things fixed itself w/o my intervention, so I think it must have been a hickup on the srver (if such thing exists  :) )

My guess is they must have some scalability issues now so probably everything would go away when/if they upgrade their servers...
