Anyone saw any benefits from featured on “recent top sellers list”?

So far, I’ve been featured 3 times this year, but my sales actually went down every time during those weeks.

I didn‘t make my way into this list - so I can’t say anything about this from my own experience. But another successful contributor told me exactly the same. She found herself several times among those bestsellers and her downloads went down in those weeks.

I've been in the bestseller list once that I am aware of (I do not check regularly, so it could have been more often, but then I did not see an effect) and my sales went up during that time.

I guess I had 3 coincidences 😂 Mat, what are the benefits of top sellers list (other than getting a free PS subscription)? Can customers see that seller was on that list? What about people who accept our submitted images, do they see that seller’s images are what customers seek?

I've made it to the list a few times in the past. It gave me a confidence in what I had been doing. Also the benefit is to see what kind of photos are trending. You got to know the industry trend to navigate your business in this.

The main benefit is an increased level of bragging rights. If you make it to that list, it's validation you are doing something right. It means your newer uploads are meeting the needs of customers and are selling well. The moderation team does not see this information, nor do customers.

Thank you Mat for clarifying it. Is there a way to opt out of being featured on this list? If moderators or customers don’t see it, I would rather stay humble.

It would be nice if there would be a badge that Adobe can attach to a profile. It would speak of quality of images and might give customers more confidence to download them?

Yeah, I was there few times too and although it was nice to see my name, I was just afraid copycats will have a feast.

I was hoping I will be higher in search when "Sort by featured" is chosen on buyer's side, but it wasn't the case. Badge is really great idea.

Who's enforcing the standards of Adobe's "ethical" AI? I can't even upload real editorial images, and this gets past the gatekeepers...

It's in the drop down choices, Relevance, Most Recent, Featured, Downloads.

Several of my images are on top of the searches, but only a couple are best sellers, with a lot of downloads. I don’t think that those sales are coming from Adobe, I would guess outside websites featured those images somewhere else. Because my other images that appear on the top of searches, have only a handful downloads. (I have hundreds of images without any downloads of course)
