I recently moved from Italy to UK and have been in touch with chat about:

updating the info (address etc) in my stock photo Contributor account with Adobe
and
changing info regarding my Creative Cloud deal (currently being received for free as a long term Contributor).

Chat tell me they have cancelled my previous Creative Cloud plan and sent me a quote to PAY for Photoshop Cloud. I do not yet know if they really have cancelled the free account.....! I have not yet paid for the new one. :(

BUT, ever worse

they tell me that my Contributor account cannot be updated in any way. The country can never be changed. I need to set up a new account and 'start fresh from there' (I quote).

Surely this cannot be right? I need a second Adobe/Fotolia account? Can I even do that? I am still getting income from the Italian one...

Please can somebody shed some light on all this.....

For now I am keeping the Italian options open, but clearly this cannot go on forever....

:(

Yes, I can confirm that within very few minutes my (free) Photoshop Creative Clouds deal has been terminated. :(

Hi!

I changed my residence and country once, but I did it back then on the platform of Fotolia (was able to change the infos on every other stock site too). Would be weird, if Adobe wouldn't let you.
It was a while ago, I don't remember the exact details, but I contacted them via e-mail or support tickets. Is that not possible in your case? Is there only a chat now?

They don't let you change the country it's a rip-off, I'm trapped in a Dollar-account from the very beginning though I lived my whole life in Germany. But if I could change to Germany I would earn Euros and therefore they would have to pay me more this is the reason they don't let change you the country because they are afraid to loose some money.

But with Photoshop CC based in UK, and Adobe Stock in Italy - doesn't this give problems to one single Adobe ID? Plus I'm going to have to pay for CC despite being eligible for free......
Wish I'd not changed anything. :(

That was my thought yesterday, when you posted this. Could you just not do anything, keep your old Italian address and continue working in England? Maybe because of taxes you can't, I don't know.
Anyway keep writing to support because this sounds really weird.

The problem is that CC Division have cancelled my subscription. For them I exist no more.
But when I go to my Adobe Stock pages, I am down as still having a free account. With even a link to get it for free, as it was before.
BUT, when I insert the code to redeem this, the system tells me it is invalid. Presumably because my CC account has been closed...
Sigh.....
And it seems I can't upload to Adobe either.
Great.

Contact support regarding your Adobe uploading problem. THAT is a problem. Fck photoshop, not a big deal 10$, you would just dilute your support question with that one.

But if everyone could change their country whenever they liked, people would be doing it for exactly the reason you state. The contributor would change it every time it meant they (the contributor) made more money. Why did you set up a dollar account to begin with, if youve always lived in Germany? Why wouldnt you have changed it to euros in the beginning? Just curious.

Not getting involved with moving accounts around to get the best deal...BUT
it looks like I can at least get my original account re-instated or something...anyway, far too confusing to follow....but Support have re-enabled Photoshop so I can work, and given me some free months in case it takes a while to sort out the redemption code.
Phew! A marathon but in the end may be ok, if a little odd about my country....
But overall...
PHEW!!!

Also, keep in mind that some European people may have found Fotolia back then via Google, entered the US site, set up a USD account, not knowing there was a European site with an option of EUR payment.

Hi PZF,

You can contact the contributor support team by sending an email to
[email protected]. We can retrieve your original account, and when you log into the portal the next time you'll be asked to sync with your Fotolia account. That step will then bring back all your assets and history. The payout currency can't be changed, so this will remain in Euros.

Regarding the loss of your free Photography plan, please send me an email at kiharris at adobe.com and I'll try to get you a replacement for the remainder of your free plan.

Thanks Kirstenharris. In the end it got sorted out after a HUGE amount of hassle for all concerned both via Chat and email support. I now seem to be in Italy (forever?) as a contributor but will be charged (after the contributor deal ends) as if I am in the UK. But at least all functioning.
Cheers.
