Adobe has been dead for me the last few weeks. Still not a big player in video sale IMO

My May in Adobe was very good. June was worst month in a year. July on track to be worst month since 2015.

My download *numbers* are steady the last few weeks.  But my download revenue is way way down below 50% of average.  2-3 weeks ago something happened and my steady revenue per download over many months dropped massively.

I find it comes in waves... you either get a load of better value sales or nothing at all. I'm on the latter at the moment and feels like every sale is begrudged. Even more bizarre is that my 30 day rolling income this year is only 0.143% different to the same 30 days last year... consistent.

Edit... just to be fair, Adobe has consistently been better each month this year when compared to the same month last year. It has been a good year so far.

Same thing for me. I don't have a large portfolio but I usually sell several images a week. I haven't sold a SINGLE ONE since Fotolia went over to Adobe in May. Something is definitely off. Maybe a minor dip on SS but Adobe has been dead.

For me something changed suddenly on the week of June 17th and income has dropped ever since.

Its fairly clear on the graph when something changed and the average dropped suddenly.  What seems to be the case is actual download *number* are constant or increasing but the actual earnings have dropped severely.

The big spikes after that are occasional video sales.  (The bizarre february bit is when they overpaid then adjusted so leaving a negative week)

Similar thing happened to me at about that time. June finished well but mainly due to the start of the month. July was bad. August has been better but mainly due to a handful of footage sales but it has felt like there has been a slight improvement

When I looked at the FT site a week or so back, each image had a notice on it saying they were no longer taking new orders and that you had to go to AS (where the licence information per size is) but now you can buy images again through credits?!? Maybe they've changed their mind  ;D ;D

Very slow for me right now and past few months -- and getting less per sale.

Also, I upload new material more interesting that sells elsewhere but seems like certain images sell over and over on AS, but new material not so much, even material selling elsewhere.  What sells on AS not necessarily what sells elsewhere.

September was very good for me, ahead of SS thanks to higher RPD.

as is king for selling old images...is not a case that there are some diamond contributor who upload practically zero content in the last 2 years and still sell tons of images....is the problem of all agency...they need to find a balance between old and new images or soon they won't have new content at all..is not a mine of yours problem is everycontriboutor problem...and as i said those who upload and have a lot of download in the first years still sell a lot without uploading content at all r very few. it's not they have amazing or exclusive content is simply they have a lot fo file in first pages.

hi all,
i'm an emerald contributor of Fotolia/AS with growing sales. I'm a motion designer focused on 3d/2d motion design and infographics.
My new works sell better then my older ones. I think that the key is regular upload and high (very high) quality content.
Complainig on this forum, for me, is a waste time and not a productive way to conduct this business.
But...you are free to spend you time as you wish  :)

Hello everyone. My first post here. My Adobe sales have fallen hard for the past three months after staying pretty steady for 3 years. a 10% to 20% drop each month and now another 40% this month. I am active (11,000 image) and still uploading and matter of fact have just started downloading videos. What would cause such a steep drop in 3 consecutive months?

I`m on the same side - after months of progress, with sales rising month after month, I`m experiencing hard fall from June...

My sales have been declining ever since I became Emerald two years ago.  Back then I could make $500 - $700 a month.  This month will be about $200.  Very disappointing.

As many people have said, the stock photo business isn't a big priority for Adobe - they see it as a convenient 'add-on' service that they can incorporate into their mainstream products.

In fairness, I'm quick to say it's been bad when it was (very quiet Jul Aug) so I have to say Sept has been very good and Oct better still. This month is looking to be a BME with increase n Vol and 's and will pass last months total with nearly a week to go. Thanks AS, long may it continue!

I was just about to come here and start a thread about how AdobeStock has been falling off a cliff for me since summer ended.  I'm a 12 year stock veteran and can tell normal fluctuations from something really being wrong, and AS is firmly in the latter camp.

My Shutterstock revenue is roughly the same as it was in 2018, but my Oct Adobe revenue is less than half what it was in Oct 2018.

Seems to be dire for both images and videos.  On AS, I used to consistently see a few video sales a day -- even throughout summer -- but for Oct I'm selling zero. This while consistently uploading images and videos every day.

(And before anyone suggests it, my work has no seasonal focus -- I've never been affected by seasonal demands outside of fewer sales during holidays and summer slumps.)

Mat, if you're reading and can shed some light on recent actions that are resulting in slashed sales for many of us, please weigh in.

I`m talking and experiencing the same... totally silent, something must be going on from June to date...
