Hey Mat!
I haven't received a code, even though I've sold over 10,000 licenses in the past year.
Can you help me with the issue?

I feel a bit of a luddite asking this, but I've been very comfortable using Photoshop CC2015 for so many years, I wonder if I need to update.  Can I leave the CC 2015 on my desktop and try the cloud version of Photoshop at the same time?
Thanks
I use photoshop 2018 and i try the 2022 and how lag is the new photoshop. the 2018 was so quick for everything. I dont think i need the 2022 creative cloud too

Hi @Mat My existing CC codes are expiring next week so if I redeem the new codes today will they be forwarded from the expiry date or will they be counted from the date of redemption?

Did you upload files last year? In addition to the sales rule, there's an "active contributor" rule:

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html

"An active contributor is an Adobe Stock contributor with at least two (2) submitted and approved qualifying assets in 2021."

Hi Jo,
Yeah, I have exactly 2 accepted images for the last year. It's like a coincidence, but that should be enough, right? ;)

Thanks for the quick response Mat.  I have never found it possible to "reach out to customer service via Adobe.com".  There is no way to contact a live person by phone or online.  All we get are archived previous answers from years ago.
I've avoided doing this for years now, so I think I'm going to give it a try.  Getting my NIK plugins and Actions transferred will be an ordeal I'm sure.  I won't run both at the same time, and I will look out for the checkbox about deleting older versions when I install.

I take it back.  I did have trouble getting CC and PS installed and running and this time there was a chat option.  Someone took over my computer for over an hour and got me all straightened away.  My actions got moved over.  I don't know how to move my Nik collection "filters" over to the new version.  May not be possible.  Otherwise, both versions are working.

I think that should be all you need. Mat has posted his email here, so perhaps send him something directly?

I don't know how to move my Nik collection "filters" over to the new version.  May not be possible.

If you're on windows (don't know about Mac):

- there is a"plugins" folder in the photoshop folder (of your old photosshop version) on your system drive (something like C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2022\Plug-ins)
- in there is a subfolder "google" (-> that contains the NIK filters)
- simply copy that subfolder with all its contents in the plugins folder of your new photoshop installation

NIK filters should be there after your next start of PS.

Thanks.  That worked nicely.  I tried that before but was looking in the wrong place.

In case anyone wonders?  https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/redemption-code-help.html

If you already have the same plan or product, and redeem with the same Adobe ID:

If your payment plan is Annual plan, paid monthly, Adobe stops charging your credit card after you redeem the code. After the redemption code subscription term expires, Adobe resumes charging your credit card.
If your payment plan is Annual plan, prepaid, the redemption code term is added to the end of the paid subscription term.

If you redeem a different plan with the same Adobe ID:

Your subscription runs parallel to your existing paid subscription. For example, consider a scenario where you have an existing subscription to the Creative Cloud Photography plan with 20 GB of storage. However, you have a redemption code for the Creative Cloud All Apps plan. In this case, if you redeem the redemption code, your subscription to Creative Cloud All Apps runs concurrently with the existing Creative Cloud Photography plan.

Thanks a lot, can I install on my desktop and laptop or only on one computer?

In general, only two systems and both must be run by only you and only one at a time.

I don't know how that would work for a couple or any similar living arrangement, but the idea is, you can't run a business and share the software. There are probably exceptions.

In the past when I had multiple computers, if I added a new laptop, for example, then I'd have to deactivate the license on the old laptop. As that works out, not creative cloud licenses for Elements, as I upgrade and buy a new version, the old one stays on the older two computers. One laptop, old desktop run version 7, newer laptop and another, have version 10, and the newest laptop and computer are on Elements 2020.

Anyway, CC is supposed to limit a license to two computer, only one running at a time. For more you can activate and deactivate systems, which does not mean you have to uninstall and re-install. Just deactivate.

I am not an Adobe expert, but from my own experience it works a little different than you described.

For reference, I do have the photography plan (Lightroom and Photoshop), don't know if it works the same for the other apps.

I have the software installed on three computers, two desktops (mine and my wife's) plus one laptop, (and I am sure more would be possible) and I can run it on any two in parallel.
If I want to run it on the third one, I first have to deactivate one of the other two (which you can easily do via your Adobe account on the Adobe website, so no need to have physical access to the machine you deactivate it on).

Very appreciative of the bonus code, my experience with Adobe Stock as a contributor has been far better than other sites.

Correct I don't think I said you needed access? Say your computer suddenly starts to smoke and you remove the hard drive and throw the rest into the trash. You wouldn't have access to that one.

The facts I copied (and believed) are from the Adobe site and their forum "experts". But the bottom line is, only two systems can operate the software, and the others can't be active, at the same time. I didn't realize that two could be running at the same time. That's listed on the Adobe site as a limitation. Since there's only one of me, I never tested that.

Activate and deactivate as needed.

Now that I have PS v23 installed, I've got it doing the same work as CC2015.  I thought it might be better at selecting skies to not sharpen there, but I still need to use the magic wand as before.
Still, it works fine.
But ever since switching, AS refuses to accept my keywords in more than half my uploads.  I get sneaky made up keywords, so I have to look at each upload carefully.  Why?  How can I stop this?
I'm beginning to think the PS update is not worth it.
