It's been a little than a month since Fotolia launched it's restyled site. While getting used to the new categories I noticed that my sales dropped!
I used to have a couple of bigger, extended licence sales each month but all I got were subscriptions and a few 6 credit sales. Is it just coincidence or is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

About 20% of normal, virtually dead since redesign.

Of course sales are dropping. The new categories are not the same as the old ones were, so many of my old images were automatically placed in totally wrong categories by some machine. Not to mention that keyword phrases and keywords in plural once allowed are deleted now.
Just check the information panel of the images to see your actual keywords.

Do you have any supporting information that buyers were purchasing your images through a category?

i have lower sales too, my rank drop from 600 to 850, my explanation was , my images are not popular anymore, my rank fall, so someone must sell more.

iam anyway  disappointed, they screw us every year , maybe closing account is not bad idea.

Not a bad idea at all. It has the double benefit of:

a) making 100% sure your images stay out of DPC

and

b) lowering your blood pressure, since you don't have to worry about what contributor-cheating scheme FT will come up with next AND you don't have to wrestle with new upload hassles.

For me, Fotolia has been on a steady climb since late last year. Since the redesign, it has started falling sharply. With the extra time submitting to a site that was already tedious, I will stop uploading if this trend continues.

No I don't, how could I? Do you have any supporting information that they don't?
Anyway, my main concern are the keyword. Do you doubt their importance as well?

Maybe their search now returns both single and plural likw SS.

I don't know. What I know is that some of my images have 10 keywords left out of 26. I contacted support and the answer was that those are not in US English "indexing language", whatever that means.
These are some of the keywords that don't show up because they are not in English : rubber mallet, sawn granite, permeable paving etc.
They are indeed somewhat technical terms but so are the images.

This is my exact same experience.  Sales last year pitiful. Since Nov. or so on the rise to nearly double what they were, then this month - crash.

Just joined Fotolia and made 2 sales but at 0.15 and 0.18  each, what kind of joke is this ? Even worse than SS 0.33. Talk about a race to the bottom.

Hard to predict! My port on FT is 10k+ but can't get more than 500-600 dl per month. Now you calculate what to expect with 100 files? Anyway, maybe  my port is not suitable for FT

Hmm... ~300 DLs/month from a 300 port. It's not only a numbers game.

Agreed. Volume is only a small part of the bigger equation. I believe quality and targeting specific markets with high demand is a bigger part of it.

Ultimagaina, you have a great portfolio. It's no wonder you get such good download numbers for such a small collection of photos.

Adobe is an engineering company, as expected they're now reinventing the wheel ... but hey give 'em some time to fix all the bugs ...

Plurals : yeah and what about languages where apart the plurals you also use declinations etc ? all these search engines are just a big mess.

My sales decreased as well. But I am not sure if it is related to the Adobe change.
