hi all,
so i just notice that eps vector in fotolia is cheaper than M size jpg? i thought eps vector is considered more flexible for designer and can have far more usefulness than jpg, and it is also like selling your 'raw' design, that people can learn how you make something, steal part of it..or just modify part of it..so it is a valuable resource.
why it is sold as cheaper? i don't think any other agencies sell it as cheaper than M size jpg.
is that fotolia strategy? do you think it is successful?

It is nice to have contributors who will sell their vectors as M sized jpg images.
What do you think who profits from such pricing?
-
so do you guys just upload jpg for vector illustrations?
-
I don't upload vectors anymore at FT because of this pricing nonsense. Just jpegs.
-
I like svg files, but do you? ;)
-
so do they pay more for svg? i don't think i will submit another format just for fotolia.
However, i really find it strange that what kind of strategy that sell eps more than a M size jpg.
I tried to understand it, since both agency and contributors want to earn money so i am sure fotolia doesn't do it just to lose money. It seems like a strange strategy.. hope they are doing something if it is not successful.
