Title: Vector submission preview size.
Post by: emeebe on January 03, 2012, 20:17
Hi everyone, I'm just getting ready to upload a few vectors to Fotolia and saw this:

Preview resolution must not be less than 5000 x 3000 (15 million pixels).
Files must be less than 2 megabytes.

Do they mean the EPS file or the zip?
It's gonna be tough to get the file size down to 2 mess with a 5000x3000 JPEG attached.

Doesn't really make sense, perhaps they mean that the preview must be less than 5000x3000 pixels???

Any insight would be most helpful.

Hello,
not sure about this notice, 2 MB is really low limit.
In FAQ they mention only 30 MB limit, so maybe this now applies to vectors too (?).
But jpg preview MUST be 15 megapixels or more.

I routinely upload zip files around 4-5 MB (with 15 - 38 megapixels
jpeg preview) using ftp and everything is working fine.
I find vector upload system on Fotolia very reliable.

Same here, eps and zipped files often far bigger than 2MB with no problems so maybe they mean the preview image alone?
