Hello to all,

I am wondering what is your POSITION in Adobe Stock?
If you will log in to dashboard, you should see it in top.

I'm 6,640th  :o

Thanks :)

Nothing. Probably they do updates by groups of users. Anyway last changes are not good. I am not a buyer, i am not interested to see something else than my digits. before they were visible on load, now are hidden and badly organized, similar to istock

I guess that's Adobe Stock's way of saying "you're my best friend"  "and... you're my best friend, too"   "and this guy over here, he's my best friend"  "and the lady down the street, she's my best friend".  Doesn't mean a hill of beans.

As long as people are buying my photos, you can call me whatever you want.

60! Btw Adobe says it can be a shared position between other contributors - So there can be many on the same position :)

Have a nice weekend.

Yeah, lets say 2,000 people all made $19.95 last month, they are all the same position. If that was 6,640 then the next person who made $19.94 is 8,640 Etc.

I will say that all you 6,640 people are better than I am. I don't pay close attention, or when it changes, if it's with a new download? Mine didn't change, three sales yesterday. But I'm BAD! And I'm sticking with my original view, every since FT offered this. It's just a number, doesn't tell me anything important.

Who cares. Show me the money.

It's updated once per day. Also users have the same number because (I'm guessing here) numbers are rounded with "10" or even "20" not sure. I know, because, when there was still Fotolia I had ranking 6340 quite some time, and then had a day with good sales and it went up to 6320, and then the next day fallen again to 6340.

ATM my ranking is 6340.

I think it does have some use...you can compare your ranking with sales...if your ranking stays the same and your sales go up then the site is doing well etc. If your ranking goes up an sales go down the site is doing less well but its not your "fault".

Well... 47,547.14 EUR in 5 years total. Quite bad, I was expecting much more. Sales went down somehow :(

Ah so I can look on the computer and see that it rained yesterday and how much, but nothing tells me how what 50% chance of rain really means? I can look at my rank, which means nothing, and see how I'm doing compared to other people, who don't know what rank means, because I had sales, or didn't have sales.

Someone tell me, how often is rank updated and what is it based on? Sales, money, downloads/income, income/downloads. What is rank? (reminds me of Popular...)  :)

Just looked, my "position" is - Wow, I'm so good that I just get a dash now.

Might have been broken, or updating. Look now?

I had a Position for week, then yesterday there was none.

As someone pointed out, if we knew what the number means in income, that would be interesting. For example, last week I only made $13 on AS. (all of this is round numbers, hypothetical) and I rank 10,000, so people who made $13 last week are 10,000

People making $?? are 6,000, see where that leads? Useful numbers not just a "position".

Now let me ask, and maybe someone knows? Is Position dollars, downloads, or what? When does a week begin and end, Sunday or Monday?

Yes, usually desk chair, desktop, but sometimes the couch working on a laptop and at night, reclining.  :)

Some answers, maybe

Position for week is sales. That's why mine was blank yesterday. Until I find out for sure, Week seems to start on Sunday?

Rank is earnings for the week. I'll guess that position is lifetime, which means people who have been with FT and AS for longer will be higher, I'm virtually only two years, with a brief visit way back. I rejoined when AS took over.

I'll start making notes. Looks like this will be easy, straight relationship $ to Position. Every sale you should pass some people and if someone gets a sale, they will pass you.

After looking, I still don't really care, because it's still just vanity and micro analyzing, by every sub sale.

Somewhere in the 30k range.

On a side note the new layout is very confusing. Ideally the login dashboard should show money, last sold pics, last accepted pics etc.

While Adobe is getting closer I wouldn't put money on them ever passing SS. If they ever took on Editorial that would be a different story.

I agree ~ people have being saying Adobe is "On Fire!" and predicting they will over take SS but I've yet to see it in the last two years.

From my own experience Adobe bumbles along with subscription sales the credit sales of Fotolia days have long gone and my revenue from Adobe has only shown a decline.

Adobe is on fire!  ;)

Honestly with and inside track to buyers through CC and the actual review policies that screen for useful, quality images, I think they can grow and keep taking a bite out of SS business.

I'm sure I've pointed this out before, but remember when IS was King of the Hill, and all the rest just hanging out down below. It could take 2-3 years but Adobe has more growth potential than any other site, with or without Editorial.

The poll here is far from scientific, but it does reflect the forum members over time? If the drop for SS stays the same and the growth for AS continues, 2021 they will be neck and neck.

Didn't you delete a large number of images back in DPC? Are those back now or did you cut your collection down and leave it smaller for Adobe?

I closed my FT account, so I'm starting over from nothing.

Yes I deleted a large chunk (about 50%) during the Dollar photo club debacle

I did start uploading again around 2 years ago but Adobe doesn't take editorial so they'll never be as big as SS or Alamy.

No pretty much like all of the agencies but its an irrelevance anyway as there will contributors with zero images and small portfolios of less than 100
