Last days we've seen the worst and the best in the world of Microstock photography...

What can we do ...!?
We can promote our portfolios from every decent agency on many ways...
Show good will for a mutual benefit ...
I don't need not tell you which ones are good agencies ... ::)
Regards!

If the earnings ratings here are accurate, the only site in the big 4 that hasn't cut commissions is doing the best.  The one that has cut commissions the most times is close to falling in to the middle tier.

It looks like SS and 123RF have made the most progress this year, istock and FT are the big losers.  I also notice alamy seem to be doing quite nicely, they are very contributor friendly.  I really do wonder if crowdsourcing works properly when sites lose their affinity with their suppliers?  This could be some good news at last, if there is a correlation between the way contributors are treated by sites and their profitability.  I hope its not just a coincidence.

I hope so...

Last year I've promoted my portfolios mainly of 123, Alamy and DT... SS is automated already, so sometimes I promote them on other places...
Some results are here... These promoted agencies has bigger part of complete cake than before...
I do not know if this is a global trend or a result of my advertising and promotions...?

It would be good to see graphs of "Microstock Poll Results" of last three years...  Then I will know is it global trend or only my trend or mix...

Yes it does speak for itself,  contributor and customer friendly policies, do pay off and in a big way and thats the way it should be, only, some havent really understood that,  they think the way to success is via the elbows.

It must have happened more or less as you were writing... it's nice to see 123 moving up.
