Hi!
I'm looking for a generic model release which gets accepted at all of the big 6. Both for minors and adults. What do you use?
Many thanks,
Michael

Hi. I also hope to look for one too. Can someone upload and share??? perhaps in the "Download" portion?

I read on a forum somewhere that the iStock MR will work on all if you remove the iStock logo etc. and change the wording so it reads generic.
.

This is true apart from Dreamstime , so for 1 picture I have 3 MR: 1 IS 1 IS without logo and ref. and 1 DT.....jean

Somone on this forum steered me to the Istock model release. If I can remember, I think the attached document is essentially the same in Word.
There is a small table at the top. Delete if you want, but on my release I have my logo in the left and details on the right.
The signature areas on the bottom are in table format as well. I removed my name & address from this area. If you use this form, place your details in this spot so you don't have to hand write.
It's all very crammed, it prints on one page on my printer so hopefully you don't have to mess around with it to much.

Hi Pixart,
which agencies does this MR work with?
Thanks,
Michael

Well... I was just accepted at Istock but haven't uploaded anything. I'm assuming it will be accepted there since it's their own language...
I use it on Dreamstime Fotolia and LuckyOliver. Don't really upload anywhere else.

Hi!
Sounds great - thanks.

You had a rejection on Dreamstime using the IS model release? Did you remove both the logo at the top and the copyright notice at the bottom?
I ask because it seems strange that Dreamstime would be upset about the use of a better release than the one they use. You'll notice that there is no copyright notice on the bottom of Dreamstime's model release. That is because they use a generic one available to any lawyer that uses Westlaw.

I always use the istock release on dreamstime but once I forgot to take off the istock name right at the bottom and the release was rejected. If you make sure you take off the istock name and logo it should be ok at DT, fotolia, stockxpert and shutterstock and probably others that I don't upload to.

can anyone tell me what the pc section is for I dont what to have to toss pics cuz the relise is wrong
-
I think PC means Postal Code
-
I have been using the istock model release "as is" and all the other sites have been accepting it.
I printed the release, wrote my photographer information in, and then made photocopies.

By using the istock release, obviously without logo etc, did anybody ever had problems with the reference to "law of Alberta, Canada"? SY

No. I'm using this release at 8-9 agencies without problems.
All the best,
Michae

Wouldn't it be more correct that the legal part should be your own place of residence?

That was my word doc. If you use it yes, PC is Postal Code, and you might want to change that part to State or whatever applies to you.
I think I removed reference to Alberta in it, didn't I?
I don't know really know what the exact repercussions would be if you used Istock's release as it is - but if you are sued by this particular model and you keep Alberta, Canada in there - would you not have to attend arbitration in the province of Alberta Canada?

Hi all..
I've been using this Download Model Release template (http://www.dphotojournal.com/download-model-release-sample/) for all sites without any problems.
Hope that helps..

I have used the Istock model release with their logo removed, their address details removed and the copyright bit in bottom right corner removed. This has been accepted at DT, BS, SS, FT, Stockxpert, 123rf, without any problems at all.
