Title: image accepted and published, why then closed on esp?

My image was accepted and published May, 2017, but now is CLOSED?   I searched the image number    (688738718)    and the image shows on istock.   What does the CLOSED mean?

Batch on ESP is closed.
Every batch will be closed after few months.
You cant upload more images in than batch.
You must create new batch to upload new images.

So then all submissions eventually scroll off the page, but the images themselves stay on the site.  That makes sense.
