Title: image of US currency issue

Hi,
I have some 3d renders that have money in them. The money images used to map the dollars is a scan and I removed some of the serial info, however it was rejected by iStock for possible copyright infringement. The money is apart of the image, but not the main focus. What else do I have to remove/change to get this accepted?

The U.S. has a lot of laws around the size, etc. representation of paper money.

Not the claw, not only did I make it from scratch and sent proof of this in the release, they accepted other images using the claw.

A while back I was told that only a third  or less of the bill can be shown for iStock   Also those other images that were accepted your images?

The other image are from other contributors and are all available on iStock.

BTW, Shutterstock and Dreamstime had no issue with the image...

Most likely those other images are grandfather in and new ones will not get accepted which sucks for sure. The good news is that you get them in shutter which usually out sells all the rest b

Thanks. I guess I don't understand their logic with it being grandfathered in...I mean if it violates it then all should be removed and if it doesn't then it should be allowed. I am guessing they are following their own set rules based on their understanding and not that the image actually violates copyright. I also don't understand why my content with coins never had an issue, but bills seem to. I guess it's just another quirk of iStock.

Since this is all CG, I just added a money wrapper around each bill and duplicated to make each bill a stack instead...still has the same idea and now, hopefully it will be accepted.

iStock just accepted the original after I challenged it. I guess I'll have both in now :)
