SS 37%
up 10% from December
down 18% from BME in June

IS 17%
up 12% from December
down 54% from BME in March

DT 14% BME 1 EL
up 30% from December
up 9% from BME in June

FT 11%
down 4% from December
down 15% from BME in September

StockXpert 8%
down 30% from December
down 34% from BME in April

BigStock 5%
up 42% from December
down 22% from BME in March

LO 4% 1 EL
up 100% from December
down 29% from BME in July

123RF 4%
down 20% from December
down 36% from BME in November

These percentages could change with 123RF making a dramatic increase, because I have three EL sales that mysteriously went missing.

I'm also with FP and CanStockPhoto, but the earnings are so minuscule that I don't track them.  Only sites that gross $50+ (the average monthly payout) at least every other month are tracked.

IS   51% (BME, Up over triple from Dec)
SS   33% (BME, Up almost double due to EL)
FT   7% (BME, Up by 25%)
DT   4% (Down by over half)
StockXpert   2% (BME, Up almost double)
BigStock   1% (Down by half)
123RF   1% (Up by 50%)
SV   2% (Up by Double)

Jan 08 is BME by almost double driven mostly by Istock. Istock is absolutely rocking. SS is doing very well. FT is growing slowly. StockXpert is finally waking up. The rest I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth my time uploading to anymore.

EDIT: A couple of late corrections after more sales

I am thinking the same that except SS, IS, FT, StockXpert , 123rf and DT uploading to other sites is a waist of time for me.

SS 60%
the rest: IS, FT, StockXpert , 123rf and DT.

Jan=BME (+ 10% compared to previous BME=Nov 07)
300+ images

iStock                     45,9% (BME)

As said by Nazdravie: "istock is absolutely rocking"!!!

Very disappointing results and declines at dreamstime, stockxpert, shutterstock.

Surprising good resuls at digitalstock and panthermedia despite low number of uploads (so far <90 images).

Results are something to think about regarding future upload strategies...(see also thread "are things going well in microstock")

Overall a BME, even though it didn't look like that at the beginning of the month. Overall my earnings increased by 36% compared to December 07. Today marks my 1st anniversary of being in microstock - so I do not have any comparative data to years before. But the increase is right about where Yuri predicted it to be. ;)

SS 35,0% (BME helped by one EL)
FT 29,0% (BME)
IS 27,1% (a little disappointing, number of downloads was a 3rd less than in December, income was better though)
DT 8,4% (BME - but I am still building my portfolio over there)
LO 0,5% (after 4 months of not selling anything - I just had another sale - but I wonder if it is worth uploading - the return for uploading at DT is much better).

I have not voted yet, but will, I tried this time to vote more than on just earnings, but this will not work somehow with Internet Explorer. So I will wait until I have time to do it on the other computer with another browser. Maybe you can fix this?

I hit my goal of $200 in January!   :)  It was a fantastic comeback after the slow holiday start.

Total $200.86

Shutterstock 45%  BME
iStockPhoto  21%
Dreamstime 11%   BME
Fotolia 10%   BME
BigStock 7%
StockXpert  4%
123RF  2%
LuckyOliver  0.1%
FeaturePics  0%

Shutterstock earnings were driven by a massive upload campaign on my part.  I added 65 images to my portfolio in January.  It is not likely I will add nearly as many in February, so I expect earnings to take a substantial hit.

So close, Ldambies, so close!  February is the month you break through.

Honestly if you would have asked me a few days ago, I would have said I would finish around $196-$197.  It took a lot of sales the last 2 days to get past $200.

SS :  85,26%
Dreamstime : 5%
Fotolia : 2,57%
Stock expert : 5,60%
123rf : 1,57%

I only wish SS wasn't that important for me, i'm now working to put more of my portfolio on the other sites (1000 to go for dreamstime, with 700 or so allready uploaded in january, so i hope that will have some effect for february and Fotolia.. pfft .. lagging behind some 1700 images.. i really need more hours in a day :-) )

I had a pretty good month at IS, best month in about 12. With referral earnings it was a BME for me. DT and SS limped along in 2nd place pretty much doing the same as the previous few months despite adding many new images over the past couple of months. When I get to 2500 downloads at IS, I'm going to seriously take a look at exclusivity...

I have posted my numbers from the second month in microstock:
http://www.pixelsaway.com/C911796005/E20080201005222/index.html

My portfolio is still too small to make any statistically significant conclusions, but it may be of some interest for somebody just starting or thinking about it.

Encouraging results from iStock, disappointing from everywhere else ...

IS    36%
SS   26%
DT   17%
FT      8%
StockXpert   7%
BS     5%

The interesting thing is the big gap in January between IS and SS. They were pretty much level last year with 30% each, and finished the year only a few dollars apart. A fluke of the best match? Will it continue? Who knows ;D
And why do some people do so well on FT, while it really drags for others? Any ideas?

some do well on FT if they arrange keywords properly, and if their portfolio matches  FT needs more closely. I can't think of other reasons.

Here are my stats for January:

IS - 56%
SS - 17%
DT - 15%
FT - 12%

I reached a major milestone this month.  It was the first month that I broke the $1,000 per month mark!  I'm so excited!!   ;D

I have to admit, seeing how much of my earnings come from istock and the fact that I'll be at gold in a few weeks, I'm seriously considering going exclusive.  Granted, I'm tied down for the next few months at DT  >:( which will give me plenty of time to think it over more but it could be in my future.

My January 2008 numbers, with 2007 for comparison:

Site 2007 Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
IS 26% 22%
DT 16% 30%
StockXpert 20% 19%
FT 13% 8%
BigStock 8% 8%
123 4% 5%
FP 3% 2%
CanStockPhoto 2% 1%
LO 2% 3%
Scan 1% 0%
CS <1% 0%
rest 4% 3%

Overall earnings were 36% above December and 5% below November, and my 4th best month in the past 12 months.

DT had an excellent performance - my BME there.  Even without the EL I had (my first there), it would have been my 2nd BME.  IS was a bit better than in Dec, StockXpert a bit worse (with subs sales picking up a bit).

FT recovered a bit after a very poor December, but BigStock was ahead of it for very little (almost 50%), now my 5th earner.  2nd BME in 123RF, though still a low performer for me. Good month in LO, but stil very low.  Low sales in CanStockPhoto, no sales in CS and Scanstock (the latter was a sad surprise).  I stopped recording IV here because of no sales in months.

Not shown above, I had one sale in StockPhotoMedia and one in Paxxion.

Regards,
Adelaide

Adelaide,

If you don't mind me asking, are you still trying to get into shutterstock since I didn't see it in your stats?

If so what application are you on? I will be soon submitting my fourth application. This will be the first time that I downsize my images to 4mp as suggested ...

Ok Ldambies and Mellimage!  You're on!   8)

I'll take a guess that I will get there in either May or June.  But we'll see.  I didn't see $200 coming in January.
