Well its July in the UK and I don't think there will be many sales on a Saturday night so time to count the pennies

Shutterstock 53.4%   ;D More than April but less than May

Fotolia 8.8%  :'(
iS 8.5%  :'(
StockXpert 7.8%  :'(
Big Stock Photo 7.3%   ;D

DT 7%  >:(
123 5.3%  :D

Featurepics >1%
CanStockPhoto >1%
SPM >1%

God that was despressing worst month since March 2007, only one site generated more cash than last month and that was 123.

Not uploading for three weeks at SS meant that DL/week dropped by about 20% compared to May but things picked up in the second half of June with my best Sunday, Monday and Tuesday this week.

If any stat junkies are interested in a spreadsheet that calculates your DL/week at SS let me know and I can make a link to that as well.

I know why there was poor performance at DT and FT not sure why iS was a lower.

Interested to hear from others has the summer slump started?

There is a link to a spreadsheet below to help calculate

How are you finding PSM Steve?  I'm interested because although they are small they are European and perhaps have a different customer base.

Of the bottom of the table

PSM = SPM (StockPhotoMedia) for some reason I always do that typo if I don't pay attention. I am not sure if they have a customer base few clicks and even fewer DLs

I frequently have a pic on their front page and have about 3,000 images but the sales are so dire I have stopped uploading. The only nice thing is every three months you can get your hands on your meagre earnings unlike other sites which have high payout limits which you are never going to reach

Also given up CanStockPhoto despite their new FTP function, finally reached $50 a while back and I got stung for the paypal fee. Will probably close that account when i reach the next payout limit.

Still contributing to Feature pics as I get 70%, and they are  linked up to my website and I use their search of my portfolio to find my keywords when I am uploading similar images.

Did anyone get paid by 123rf for last month?

It sure has for me - June sales are down almost 10% from May. I'm hoping things don't go further south in July ... but they probably will.

Sales at SS and IS really slumped this month, but this was counteracted somewhat by DT and FT (which surprisingly rallied after their upgrade snafu). I expect FT sales to drop to the level of StockXpert in July, and have begun uploading (again) to BigStock in anticipation of FT completely crashing.

Shutterstock = 40%, up 8% from previous BME (May), 3 EL
iStock = 29%, down 13% from previous BME (March), 4 EL
Dreamstime = 12%, up 10% from previous BME (May)
StockXPert = 9%, down 21% from previous BME (April)
Fotolia = 4%, down 22% from previous BME (March)
BigStock = 3%, down 40% from previous BME (March)
123RF = 2%, down 27% from previous BME (May), 0 EL (1 EL in May)

Overall BME by 7%

CanStockPhoto, LO, FP not tracked by percentage of sales.

StockXpert and FT were both up from May (41% and 50% respectively), although still not at their BME level.

EL's played significant roles in SS's and 123RF's increase and decrease, and prevented a more serious decrease at IS.

So far the overall upward trend continues, and in almost two years of tracking my stats I've only seen one overall loss...and it was by less than 1%.

June   percentages by money...

IS     41%    with less than half the number of pix sold on SS
SS    24%
BigStock  13.5%    with fewer pix sold than on StockXpert
StockXpert   11.6%
DT     9%
total    99.1%

LO, NLS, 123rf, FP, FT...... percentages don't come that small...  overall, June was down from previous months...  In a few hours we start all over again... here's hoping July will be better.

Small portfolio (<200) and constant uploads.
June sales numbers up 10% compared to may

June percentages by money (may comparison based on total sales $)

June                        comparison may

SS    39,5%             almost even
IS     25,0%             almost even
DT    16,9%             big increase, nearly double
StockXpert    9,3%             + 20% increase (but lots of uploads to "catch-up")
FT      5,2%              - 50%
BigStock    3,8%             + 100% increase (but lots of uploads to "catch-up")
LO      0,0%              in may at least a "staggering" 1,20 $

Remarks:
DT - oldest (Oct 2006) site with most uploads (>200), disappointing april/may, but big recovery in june - but I dont really understand why
SS/IS - reliable "cash-cows", no big surprises
StockXpert - started uploading in april, nice development since then, quick reviews
FT - big blow to sales after V2 upgrade (keywords missing or no keywords at all, really a big mess at this site)
LO - stopped uploading, currently a waste of time in my opinion (at least for my kind of images)
123rf - started uploading last week, curious how sales will be there.....

Geez you guys are quick.  I have just updated my blog and come here to find everyone is well ahead of me in calculating their stats.  Here are mine:

32% shutterstock
13% istockphoto
15% dreamtime
12% fotolia
 7% 123RF
11% StockXpert
 7% bigstockphoto
 3% Featurepics
 2% LuckyOliver

FT is down after the upgrade but I got an EL just prior so it was a good month there.  Second best month ever, mainly due to SS.

SS        18%
DT        15%
FT         8%
StockXpert       5%
IS         20%
123RF   9%
BigStock       20%
CanStockPhoto       1%
LO         3%

I have not uploaded since may and I feel its reflected in my sales this month. IS is way down (tied with BigStock?)

My 2007 numbers until June:

Site Jan Feb Mar Apr May June
IS 32% 35% 25% 27% 29% 28%
DT 13% 18% 23% 15% 19% 20%
FT 18% 11% 10% 16% 9% 16%
StockXpert 15% 14% 15% 9% 25% 17%
CanStockPhoto 4% 6% 1% 2% 3% 1%
BigStock 7% 2% 9% 4% 7% 9%
123 4% 3% 4% 3% 4% 7%
FP 5% <1% 14% 2% 0% 0%
LO 1% 2% 3% 1.5% 2% 1%
IV 0% 7% 0% 19% 0% 0%
Scan 0% <1% 1% 0% 0% 0%
CS <1% <1% <1% 1% 2% <1%

Overall earnings decreased in 30%, even more than last month. Significant decrease at CanStockPhoto and LO - earnings were only about 22% of May's. Also in StockXpert I earned only 44% of May's BME.  A 20% increase at FT despite the days down, but then May was a slow month for me there; anyway, not a bad result considering I got no EL this month.

BME at 123RF, but that means little above my average $4.50-5.00 a month - the % is higher because the overall numbers were smaller.

Regards,
Adelaide
