There was an earlier discussion about keystroke loggers at internet cafes and the dangers of checking your e-mail whilst travelling.

So on a recent trip to the Outer Hebrides from 25th of May to 14th of June inclusive I decided to stay offline and concentrate on photographing my surroundings. Not that there were many opportunities to go online in this sparcely populated region where people go to get away from things.

Upon my return I noticed that I could not FTP files to one of my sites (not much of a shock these things happen) then I tried to log on to my account to cash out my earnings at that site and my account was blocked. Also none of portfolio was showing up in searches.

Towards the end of trawling through 200 e-mails in my e-mail account I found an e-mail from the agency  stating that one of my illustrations seemed to be clip art.

Fortunately I tracked down the source files my photos of assorted Canadian signs which I had used to make the illustration. Unfortuantely the e-mail had been sent and judging by my sales my account had been blocked since the 28th of May so i have lost about three weeks worth of sales but at least my account has been reactivated.

I would hope this is a freak occurence but worth bearing in mind these things happen so keep an eye on your e-mails.

Were they responding to a complaint or was it the inspectors?

Was it a reasonable query?
