Title: Choosing images for MACRO
Post by: S. on March 14, 2007, 17:14
How do you decide if a image have to be sent to a macro agency or a micro agency?

What sells better in macro market?

My position is not based in "what sells best" but rather in "what I like".

I sell my travel images in macrostock.  I sell my ordinary-day-things images and my illustrations in microstock.

I send the following to the macro agencies I'm with:

a) My very best images (the ones I consider best, anyway).

b) Images of unique scenes or happenings. Quirky photos.

c)  Images with identifiable people for whom I've no model release. They can be used as 'editorial' through the macros.

d)  Travel-related images and scenes.
