autostitch if it is still available for free. (they were threatening to make it pay at some point in the future). I mostly use PS now as it generally works better for me.

sometimes it works well, sometimes not at all. I think hugin will work more often, but when autostitch works well it is quick and easy.

I do my stitches manually, but years ago I tried a few sharewares and I found this was excellent: PhotoFit (http://www.photofit4panorama.com/).  It did a very good job adjusting exposure to make images match well.

I have just tried Autostitch with some series I shot in Argentina, and the result was basically ok, but exposure was not very even.  Can it be used for commercial purposes? It seems to me that they should be credited.

I only want to do this once in a great while, so the software has to be free.

I have Photoshop Elements and found it has a stitching function.  It's very flexible, controllable and did a perfect job - but reduced my images to about 25% of their original size, and I can't seem to override that.
