Title: Long Live Photocase.com
Post by: WarrenPrice on January 27, 2010, 20:46
Just thought I would stir the pot ... again.   :P

I haven't had an image accepted there since the 15th of December.  I've quit trying.  But had my fourth sale today ... 4.8 euros in the bank now, only 95.2 until my first payout.   ::)

Since one sold, I uploaded two more prospects and wait in a state of sincere apathy.   ;D

Anyone else still fooling around in Photocase?

I gave it a shot but realized it wasn't working for me.  I dumped them because I have no idea what . they like . . . . and, I don't really like this photo sharing idea with credits.

Have not had many photos accepted but still like the site. There is a lot of encouragement amongst the members and an interesting library of photos. I don't mind the photo sharing. I've used all of my credits and download photos for wallpaper. Still think its good to have a different point of view for photography than just traditional stock.

It is a change of pace, E.  I try not to take any of this too seriously.  But, it seems the more I get involved ... the more I get involved.  LOL

My problem at Photocase is that I have run out of old stuff that looks like something they might use.  Have you started to shoot just for Photocase?  Or, should I say "Just for fun with photocase in the back of your mind?"

Like you I threw everything at them that I thought they would like, most of my "art" stuff that does well on other sites (by "art" I mean photos of painted artwork) and the only thing they took is a typical Alpine landscape . . .  then nothing.  I have only recently migrated from painting to photography so unlike most of you I don't have years of photographic experimentation to fall back on.

I'm still going through old stuff but also shoot specifically to get art shots.

Still uploading to them, but it is difficult to get anything accepted. Maybe I can reach by the end of this year the minimum payout amount.

Just received an email from a buyer that used one of my images from Photocase: http://www.stern.de/allergie/v...56a5.html (http://www.stern.de/allergie/vorbeugen/tipps-wie-kann-ich-mich-vor-unerwuenschten-reaktionen-auf-lebensmittel-schuetzen-585447-5676c002ac2d56a5.html)

My German is old and rusty but, was that a "my impression or your photo" comment?

Was the bean picture yours?
