Hi,

I knocked up a website

www.clearviewimages.net

comments are very welcome,

it's still in building / sorting out stage so some images etc will change,
I know that lightroom made some of my images a touch bright, I dont know why but I can fix this.
1 image of a bird hasn't uploaded properly.
the buy page (kicks over to mostphotos) is going to be redone once I decide what to do with it (I dont expect much / anything to really come from the website, its more for when people say 'can i have a look at your photos')

but what I cant work out is that it wont work in internet explorer, firefox and safari are happy just not IE.  If anyone can see why it would be great.

Regards
Phil

It's just Flash on the start page that isn't working in IE, the rest is working fine (gallery, contact page, about etc). I can't say why Flash isn't showing in IE but at least it's clear what to look for :)

Nice site by the way ;)

Phil I would guess it's because you are using the 3rd party Flash slide (FlashHere) service:

<EMBED src="flashslide.swf?src=flash-here.com&imglist_fn=getimglist.txt&img_path=img&interval=3000&w=480&h=340"

Windows (IE) has had a lot of problems with security and Flash so they locked a lot of things down.    I would bet if you create your own Flash .swf and saved it locally on your site this issue would go away.

If you're into hosting the Flash file on your own website, you should also look at adding a bit of Javascript that will ensure people without Flash get the right notifications, and also add some extra search engine visibility (add some text in place of the Flash for robots that do not read Flash): http://blog.deconcept.com/flashobject/ is a popular one. I could shoot you the code required you would just need to save one javascript file on your website and change your HTML page slightly.

Thanks Miklav,

Thanks Keith, that would be great if you could send the code.
