What a hoot!

I made the mistake of taking my camera into the local mall one day. A store worker called security and they told me if I wanted to take pictures I had to check with the security office first, otherwise it wasn't allowed. Yikes, that would have been a real threat to national security, taking pictures of people and the stores.

On a more serious note (at least, I think so), if you now take a photograph of a police officer in the UK - or even an ex-police officer - you could find yourself convicted under the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 and sentenced for up to 10 years imprisonment.

And don't forget, if you walk about the city streets in UK you are probably photographed dozens of times each day. What happens to those images?
